It may be coincidence, but on the CMU possession referenced in the first post, CMU converted a 3rd down when they snapped with 17 left on the clock, converted a 3rd down with 15 left on the clock, but failed to convert on 3rd down when they snapped the ball with 4 seconds on the clock.  Don't have anything other than anecdotal evidence to back it up, but I really think that there is some correlation to offensive success, and the time that you take (or the least amount of time that you take) to run the next play. 
 
Have watched a lot of football teams shift out of a high tempo mode, and immediately bog down when they start trying to run the play clock.

I think the reason teams bog down when they get out of high tempo mode is not the tempo - it is the playcalling that invariably changes from uptempo plays to runs up the middle.  But I just have anecdotal evidence of that too, and understand your point.

Spot on about clock management.. been an ongoing subject all season.. and it's called constructive criticism... and all it really takes is making sure your quarterback lets the clock tick down to 5 seconds or less... pretty simple if your objective is to win a game with a big lead by grinding it out.

On a lighter note.... That was some ridiculous clock mgmt.  I had CMU and spent that 4th Q screaming at the TV.  Still cashed but scary.  On the subject of bashing and harrassing didn't the narrator in the video say thats the same thing you do to musicians or something like that?  How did your pic get to him?  Thats creepy but then again that picture is creepy too.  lol best of luck this weekend everyone.  J2X
