The PAC 12 I love. I love the fact that it's like part 2 of the college football Saturday. While everyone here on the East Coast is passing out from all day drinking, im up watching the West Coast. This again should be a very competitive conference as it is most seasons. Stanford is my Pick to take it all in the PAC 12. I like the fact that they are in the mode of move on and replace mode. This team is developing the ever so popular word, depth. Oregon is always a legit team year in and year out. But I picked Stanford over them because of the game being played at Stanford and the coaching changes. But, flip a coin. The rest of the north is pretty competitive with each other as well. I know everyone and there brother is saying CAL will sink to the bottom of the sea. Not gonna happen. Sonny Dikes is what you cal a difference maker. Im not saying these guys are ready to compete by no means. But I will say this. Don't be surprised if you see a team that looks " WELL COACHED ". Year 2 of the Leach is now in effect. Say what you will about the Wazzos, but this team will take another step towards being bowl eligible.  

The South Like the North will be a close race. I know that the darling pick of the South is UCLA. Look, I like UCLA, I think this is a good football team under the new leadership. But have you seen the schedule? Yikes! Toughest in the conference IMO. Year two of Rich Rod as well should lead to more improvements as they have one of the nations best Backs in Carey. Look, any of you that know me know I hate that douchebag Lane Kiffen. I hope USC goes 0 -13 under that prick. Talk about hot garbage. The hype is up as usual. But hey, the truth is this is a bad football team only because of the leadership it has. Utah took a huge step back last season IMO. As a mater of fact, I think UTAH was the biggest disappointment of the 2012 college football season. Im picking ASU for several reasons. But the biggest is that they finally have some life back into the program. ASU IMO, is a sleeping giant waiting to erupt. Todd Graham has some questionable charter flaws. But overall I think he is a good football coach. Do we really have to talk about Colorado? Geez.....




  

You nailed the North, Boom - Stanford is the pick but Oregon is right there but, because Chip's gone, gotta give the nod to the trees.  Look for Oregon State to be a real force/sleeper - it's a situation where the QB battle between Mannion and Vaz will only help the team because both proved last year they can play well in clutch situations and both are very experienced.  With the entire OL back and Storm Woods healthy, Oregon State is capable of winning 10 games and knocking off anyone - including the Ducks in the civil war.

On the South, God I hope you're wrong about the condoms (going 10-3) because I can't stand pretty boy either; but they *are* still an extremely talented team and Marquis Lee is hands down the top pro prospect WR in CFB. The Bruins will match last year's 9 game win total or better it this year despite the tough schedule - I think they go in to Lincoln and take a win, they'll beat Arizona but, you're right about the possibility of ASU taking the South - the Sun Devils are for real this year - thankfully the Bruins have them in Pasadena.  Basically the south could go to either of those 3 teams based on how the ball bounces/injuries, IMO...

not saying USC goes 10 - 3... that was there best case scenario IMO. Like USC of the East, I hope USC of the WEST goes 0 - 13.

Yes Boom, I know that's what you meant & point well taken - I don't dislike USC per se just the guy in charge and they are a dangerous team with enough athletes to beat most any team if you don't play your best - despite Lane, not because of him.  I really hope they go 7-6 or worse again this year just so he gets fired (and he will if they do) so Pat Haden can find a worthy coach to head that program....

Boom, going back a bit to the B1G.

Northwestern is a scary team, always is to me personally because of the funky offense they run.  Their problem is and always has been defense and losing leads late in games.  I specifically remember Nebraska and PSU games last year, where bigger more physical teams just kind of take over with them and wear them down.  Fitz seems like a better guy than coach, and he is very good at both.  Always quitely root for them because he is one good dude and want to see him succeed.

IU scares the crap out of me, so much so I may avoid a trip down to Bloomington to see my boys play them.  They have what, 10 or 11 returning on an offense they put up about 60 on Ohio St last year and should have beat them.  They are a scary team to play, not our fathers IU football team.

Stanford is a beast this year, think they are underrated by some of the national syndicates.

What's up Boom?  Too many people have sticks up their fools and are way too serious on this site.  I don't give a shitt that you didn't ban yourself and could care less if you post units with juice or not.  I really don't know why people care about other people's records and juice count.  If you're betting them with 10% juice then you are losing 10% juice.  You don't need to show it to everyone.  I'm happy you're still here and value your opinions in College Football.  Can't wait for the season to start and enjoy your reads weekly, even though I don't necessarily agree with everything you say.
