How can you determine they are a good defensive team when they have played absolutely no one. Is your determination based on the fact they blew out Colorado State, which is a very bad team this year?

They had a good D last year and they picked up where they left off.. Sure they held Colorado State to almost nothing but like you said, they are a bad team. I think there defense is good enough to get a cover here..it went from 20 to 19.5.. I will be watching this line. Who did they play last week?

I just feel the line is very inflated because of the blowouts Colorado had against two teams that are bad.

I also do not get where you think they were a good defensive team last year. It was quite the opposite.

I didn&#x27;t check the Stats, I was told they were stout last year. I know they played two bad teams bu they still only gave up 14 in 8 quarters of ball. So let&#x27;s say they hold Michigan to 27-28 they&#x27;d be geting almost 20.... I think they can come up with 10 to cover that.

To the eye, when I watched the CSU/CU game, Colorado looked more physical this year than they did last season. The question is how well they&#x27;ll travel and match up against a physical team. But Michigan may be getting a little too much love too after smashing two of the worst FBS teams in the country.

I don&#x27;t think their defense is very good... but I like the pick cuz I think their offense has approved with key returning starters. a nice running game to shorten the game...coloado will put some points on the board, ( just hope its enough ) im thinking 35 to 20 type a game..just my opinion though..gl to u

You very well could be correct yipper24. My only concern with the Wolverines is there offensive line play and along with there rushing attack. For my benefit if I elect to play this game, I would hope that Harbaugh can correct the problem this week.

Colorado does have a good offense, and there QB Liufau is a stud. I also know that the defense of Michigan is very good, and being a home game for the Wolverines the place will be crazy like usual.

I agree Urbanwildlife..like I said I like the pick, defentliy staying away, also could just as easy be 35 -7..better games on board , but when people look at the lines of games , they get different vibes

Colorado isnt chopped liver, I will be watching the line on this one for sure.. Michigan had the two blowouts against nobodies and now they have a real game headed their way.

Colorado returns 18 starters from last year. They have 23 scholarship seniors. They've gone to a Texas Tech uptempo offense and are scoring more points, against nobodies so far, yes. Their defense lowered their ppg last yr to 27.5 from 39 and brought 9 starters back.

Michigan has had trouble with decent uptempo spread offenses in the past. UCF had a few (5) big runs on the Wolverines. Most were QB scrambles where rushers over pursued and went too deep in the backfield. Cleaning up rushing lanes is on this week's practice agenda.

Michigan's offensive line is doing OK. UCF loaded the box on, it seemed, every down and dared the Wolverines to throw the ball. Which they did very effectively, Even after UM threw to a 21-0 lead, UCF continued to load the box. The O-line had good push and on goal line situations they blew them off the ball and scored.

Now, the tight ends and WR's will get extra blocking practice as they were not very good sealing the edges.

Michigan's QB (Speight) was 25/37, 4td's, and no int's. QBR of 92, not bad.

Michigan's special teams were the difference in the point spread cover. They "touched" two punts (both went about 20 yds) and blocked two field goals.(low kicks blocked by the line)

CU @ UM

Michigan's defense should throttle this offense. I can see Peppers used as a spy on CU's scrambling QB. And I believe he will be scrambling some. Michigan's secondary is OK but not great. Top CB Lewis has missed the first two games with two different reported "minor" injuries. He would really help if he can play. Speaking of injuries, DE Taco Charlton and nose tackle Bryan Mone both missed the UCF game and may play. (Harbaugh doesn't give out any injury info)

So I see UM's offense taking what CU's D gives them. And I see UM's D containing CU's running game forcing more passes. Without seeing CU play I can't say how fundamentally they are, but I know Michigan is, and they have the better athletes.

Tough to call this one. How good is CU? And for that matter, how good is UM?

I see UM 31-35, CU 14-21

Colorado is greatly improved from last year. They whomped Colorado State this year while they barely beat them last year in overtime. I like the Colorado quarterback, he is a four year starter who has lots of experience going up against some very tough PAC 12 teams. Squares love favorites and this Harbaugh coached team, I am waiting for the line to cross 21, than I will bet Colorado +22. It may not happen but i can wait all week. Colorado is not a good team, they will finish near the bottom of the PAC 12 but Harbaugh has to put in the second and third string if he gets up big second half and then Colorado can score.

20 sounds like so many points....but the way Michigan has been playing is unbelievable, however I think the prudent thing is taking the points.  Total of 57 does seem a little high, maybe there will be some defense in this game.... but I still think it goes over....That may be my play on this game.  Colorado can score some points, UCF put up 14 against them last week, albeit lucky points some might say but their QB did well against Michigan...I expect Colorado can score 20&#x2B; of their own and Michigan as well, this could be a close game I like the over 57.

Michigan has covered its first two games against weak competition and no reason to think the Wolverines won't cover against another sub-par team.

Harbaugh likes being ranked #4 nationally and won't let off the peddle even with their Big 10 opener against Penn State on deck.
