SMU IMO did the right thing. Whoever the players like....take the opposite. Don't let the inmates run the asylum
I never say this to most of the people on here. If not careful, you can lose listening to others. I have had a nice year. I was stumped on this game. win, lose or draw nice job bro!

Books set the line to equal out the betting, not to predict the outcome. Public perception is more important that actual talent. Average bettor just knows SMU scores a lot of points and has never heard of LA Tech. The fact it went down 1.5 points is huge. Either take Tech or just stay away.

the bowl was announced on Dec 3rd. so they at the very least didn't know their opponent prior to that. even then, they were playing Tulane on Nov 25th.
Morris signed his deal on the 5th and told the team on the 6th. he was wheels up to Fayetville within 30 min of the team meeting ending along with Mark Smith. Craddoc (the OC) stuck around i think for 24 hours. then he was gone. Morris put the screws to all the offensive coaches to get to Arkansas to start recruiting.
point of all that is, they had a couple days with the full staff (who were negotiation their new deal, so, distracted?), then they had a few days with a skeleton staff left behind that consisted of a WR coach (Stepp) and the RB coach (traylor). then Dykes was hired on sunday, it was announced publicly on tuesday the 12th.
point of all that is that there has been little continuity and the new coaching staff has actually been out recruiting b/c of early signing day today.

Great info. With all that considered, and the fact SMU is 1-4 away from home, I like a LT team coming in on a 2 game win streak. 3 of their loses coming by 1 point and being competitive in every game other that the FAU game, I really like a very valued LT team. The biggest thing to take away from all of the OP's info is that the players were running the practice, thats alarming and that truly depicts the amount of turmoil they are in. Going LT ML with the value. Good luck to all.
