I dont know about that one....OU defense is averaged compared to their good to great defense that given up shitloads of points to teams in bowl games to great offenses and UF has a great offense. OU will score a good amount of points but the deal breaker is how good will OU's defense be. So I think that 71 is spot on. This game will stay under or go over by 4-5 points.

OU hasnt played a defense like Florida's all year, the best defense they played this year was TCU and guess what, that was their lowest scoring game all year. SEC defense is so much better than any defense from the Big 12. Florida's defense is full of athletes with Brandon Spikes, Wondy Pierre-Louis and others. I don't think OU won't breaks the 35 point mark. I think this game will be something like 34-28 Florida, or 38-31 Florida if both offenses are firing and if Percy Harvin is at 100% in his first game back since getting injured

OU was up 28-3 at half (21-3 after 1Q) TCU loaded the box and sent everyone the 1st half and OU scorched them. 
 
OU put in the their new NO-Huddle offense this year... The 2nd half of that game, OU ran the ball almost completely into a 9 man front.  OU led 35-3 going into the 4th Q.
 
Yes, OU had been working on their passing game and no-huddle offensive scheme... and it did seem evident they were struggling to run the ball.. OU took the opportunity to work on their run game vs a 9 man front the entire 2nd half...  The game was over by the 2nd quarter...  OU only attempted 12 passes the 2nd Half running into a 9 man front.
 
OU had 333 yds of Offense by Half
 
OU is a much better rushing team now than they were then.  But that game could have easily been 60+ points if OU wanted to continue to scorch the Frogs by throwing over them.

OU has many more offensive weapons... as great as Tebow is; OU has a handful of WR.... they can match UF in speed too.... I think this will be a hulluva good game with two very good coaches...   If I wanted to beat UF with OU team, I would play the M Vick defense on him.. I would have a strong safety mirror him every damn play....   OU offensive line is superior to anything UF has seen, better than BAMA.... Florida might win this.... but if they do; they will have to come from behind to do it.... IMHO

BUT the OVER is golden in this game... bet it now, bet it often, bet it large... it is THE BEST BET of the whole bowl series and that is no my humble opinion... its damn near a historical fact

 Who other than Bama has FL and their so called speed defense played; lets just look at the final BCS standings; OU has played Texas #3, Tech#7, TCU#11, Cincy #12 and OK State #13. They went 4-1 against those teams crushing 4 of the 5. FL has played Bama; who they had to come back to win that game on a neutral field; Georgia who has 3 losses and in those losses were lit up by over 40 in every game and then of course Fl greatest game the number 25 team in the BCS with 4 losses and they lose at HOME to boot. VERY IMPRESSIVE; where are all these great defensive teams they have played; please name them. Texas should be playing instead of Florida with that pathetic loss at home. OU lost to the number 3 team in the nation on a neutral field thats not embarrassing but losing at home to a 4 loss team now that is absolutely pathetic. Urban Meyer knew it would be close so he ranked Miss #12 what a freakin joke.

    cant believe you actually have the audacity to say Texas should be playing instead of Florida. When Texas beat OU on these neutral fields you like to talk about. we will see jan 8th which of the 2  deserved to be there.

Cmon Billy now your gonna say D-1 big school teams like that are all a joke? Well in that case Hawaii, Tennessee, LSU, Kentucky, South Carolina, and Citadel are all jokes as well. I think both schools are nasty this year and to me by far the best match up. I'de much rather see Okla/Fla that Texas. Florida is probably the team most people would pick to figure out a way to WIN any game with Tebow and Oklahoma is on probably the craziest offensive run ever!! I see turnovers playing a major role but Harvin better be healthy. Tebow will not be able to take this game on his own as he did against Alabama. Oklahoma scores way more than Alabama and Tebow will need his weapons healthy.

OU has scored 58+ points in 6 straight games and now Vegas is giving them 3 more points???
 
How in the world is OU going to stop UF in Florida? They have allowed mediocre Big 12 teams put up 21, 28, even 35 points on them.
 
Florida is pretty damn strong on defense but they haven't seen an offense like OU's this year.
 
The only way this game stays under is if both offenses kill themselves by playing box football taking 2-3 yard dumps. And that did not happen in recent NC games.
 
Last year's NC game: 38-24, tOSU and LSU, two complete snoozers. 62 points is a shit load of points for two of the most boring NCAAF teams that got to that game with defense.

2006: Florida leads 34-14 at the half and shuts down in the second half, win 41-14. Florida does run the score up and I IF they hold OU to 21 points (a very low number), that will be because OU cannot get anything done right including time of posession. Therefore, not only do we know Florida will score more than 41, but they also WANT to run it up... possibly to 56 points with all their posessions and field positions.
 
2005: Two great offenses and defenses going at it. Offenses win in a 41-38 thriller.
 
Texas hadn't allowed more than 29 points all that season and held 9 opponents to 20 or under. They allowed 38 in the NC game.

This will be another thriller but Florida just scores more often. I said this before and I will say it again. This game will produce 90 points.

2004: 55-19 USC (74 points). No letting up whatsoever. If OU struggles, Florida runs it up, if OU can score, Florida will run it up more. Simple.

Did you guys forget when OU played TCU didnt have there QB dalton... If they would of had him they would of been able to move the ball and keep there D off the field. Which would of made the game alot closer.. Tcu has a dismal offense and great Defense
Florida has a Great offense and a great defense get ready OU backers your gonna go broke......

First of all whoever thinks that OU will be limited to less than 35-40 thats crazy talk; all you Florida fans tell me one offense that is so good that your so called great defense has shutdown PLEASE NAME IT; now dont come back with another question; everyone talks about how is OU going to stop FL; last time I checked OU has the better offense and everyone that keeps saying their defense is crap; well they shut down the 3rd best offense in the country Tech when they needed to; they shut down the 6th best offense Missouri in the country when they needed to; Listen Florida coolaid drinkers you are not some unstoppable force like USC with Leinhart if you were you would not have got your ass handed to you AT HOME; you are about to face the best offense BY FAR not even close and a defense that will be ready so keep thinking you are going to just walk in and blow OU out and you will have a sad reckoning coming to you.

The books are not stupid..They spend more time and money on these lines than you can imagine..-3 is-3..If they thought Fla would win by ten the line would be 9- and they would make a fortune on the Sooner money..This is set up the way they want it..Thats why the house always wins

 Florida lost at home let me repeat AT HOME to a 4 loss team that barely sqeaked into the top 25; Texas lost ON THE ROAD with 1 second left to a 1 loss team; OU lost on a neutral field to the #3 team in the nation. Why do we even play the regular season if we dont look at the losses; Tech loss was better than Fl loss because they lost on the road to a team with 1 loss; FL lost to a 4 loss team AT HOME IN THE SWAMP; all the FL teams just want to forget that pathetic loss. If every team has one loss you have to look at the loss and FL was downright pathetic. Lets just forget about the reg season thats what FL fans want to believe. Thats why Meyer is the biggest joke of a coach voting Miss number 12 in the final coaches poll; what a freakin joke.

LSU -4 last year/  41  24,  FLORIDA +7 in 2006/    41   14,  TEXAS + 7 in 2005/ 41  38  I have to agree with BILLY. I think Gators kick the shit out of sooners. IF YOU WANNA CHECK HOW THE SOONERS DEFENSE DOES AGAINST AN OFFENSE WITH SPEED, CHECK THEIR BOWL GAME LAST YEAR VS WEST VIRGINIA    48  21. If Pat White and Steve Slaton can run all over 9 of the same defensive starters for OKLA , I can only imagine what Percy Harvin, Brandon James, and the handful of other speedsters Florida has will do to them with a much more complex offense to defend.

This is some good shit, let me tell ya .....I have posted it elsewhere, but I sure do hope more people push this line higher, cuz I am all over OU.  Bottom line is Florida is the best the SEC has to offer, but if we are all being honest here, who else in the SEC is worth a shit this year?  Bama??  Good team, but young, and they have no offense...stout defense, but that D should be ranked high seeing as they have not played any team that has an explosive offense (aside from Florida).  Bama put up 20 on Florida...and I see people saying the Sooners WON'T score 30? Not sure how that reasoning works out, but ok....OU has more offensive firepower and speed then Florida has seen all year..period...Florida's loss AT HOME, against a much improved, however average, Miss team vs The Sooner's loss against UT (the same UT that many here are bitching and complaining saying they should be in the NC game.....a game in which the Sooners had complete control over until late in the 3rd quarter....whose loss looks better???)  Whoever said the O line of OU is not that good will likely be very surprised...OU's line is massive and strong and nasty...also, Bradford gets rid of the ball very quickly..I am sure Florida will get pressure on him sometime in the game, but I think the OU offense generally has its way with the Florida D. 
 
Tebow and company vs the OU D...the OU D has been much maligned all year, as they have given up huge chunks of yardage....that being said they shut down TT (which very, very few teams have been able to do the last couple of years), and did enough against the other high flying big 12 teams to outscore them...also, OU is top 5 in the nation in TO margin..they have a knack for making big plays.  OU's front 7 is big and fast enough to handle Tebow and Company imo...to those who dont think they have the speed to keep up, keep in mind their starting LB's all run in the 4.4-4.6 range (although they lost starting MLB in the 2nd half of the Texas game). 
 
Urban Myer is what Bob Stoops USED TO BE....the hottest young coach, great winning %, winning the big games (except against MIchigan last year and Miss this year I guess???) - Stoops is 1-4 the last 5 BCS bowls (ugly losses at that)....now the young gun Urban is gonna run circles around Big Game Bob, right???   I dont think so...I think Stoops and company will have this team ready to play and ready to redeam themselves after the last couple of BCS fiascos....the Sooners may not win it (if they lose, I think it is a last minute drive by Tebow coming from behind, as I cannot see any possible way Florida routes them), but I will gladly take any points being given their way, and I look for them to win it outright...
