Joker Phillips said yesterday that he's "hopeful" that QB Maxwell Smith will be able to play Saturday against USCe. Smith injured his shoulder in the Florida game.
If Smith can't go, he'll be replaced by true freshman Jalen Whitlow. Last week Whitlow completed 1 of 6 passes for 12 yards against Florida.
Now get this. Whitlow was the "backup" QB at Prattville High School last season, and now he may be starting as a true freshman against South Carolina's defense this week!!!
Ouch!!! 
Needless to say, if Whitlow is the starting QB, I think you can safely go all-in on the 'Cocks.
