As some of you know I will do a "special thread" for games I really want to talk about. Rarely will I do these threads, but when I feel the need to spread the " good news ".... I will do so.
This week I urge this forum to make the play on the Ville....
Someone in my weekly thread mentioned, Boom. Why not wait and get a better line. Why? 6...5....8.....3. It doesn't matter IMO. I think the Ville win this game SU.
This defense is very very solid and will get pressure on Winston. I know FSU and I can tell you this is still a good team but this is college football and the " good " or " better " team doesn't always win. In fact, I would argue that college football is the only sport where the better team can lose more than any other sport. Make sense? Not really..... But that's the beauty on this sport.
Maudlin is going to harass Winston all night and the secondary will flat out get after you. Here are some numbers to digest for a minute..... Let's look at " comparable " opponents.
Don't forget the .....@..... part of this. Why? As I say so many times the @ part is the biggest factor in the college game.
Louisville also has a healthy Parker at WR. This is a big deal....This guy is a player, as a matter of fact, I think his pre season injury wasn't talked about enough. That was a huge blow to this team. You're talking about a NFL ready WR who is removed from your lineup before the season starts... Big blow! Micheal Dyer, remember him???? Yeah... I think this cat is starting to get back into it. Will Gardner is a much better passer then what he has showed at times this year too.... In short, this " upset " is going to happen IMO.
Forget the points, you don't need them.
Louisville Will WIN THIS GAME.............
Your thoughts..........

Don't' feel like flipping threw other threads to find who posted it but someone posted Louisville has the 2nd best third down defense in the country, very impressive.
Winston might be a toolbag off the field, But on the field he is a flat out stud with a nice receiving core.
FSU's defense is down this year, however as you said you Gardner has been impressive at TIMES, not very consistent IMO. I can't trust him enough to counter an FSU offense that can score quickly.
If the line drops to 3 I'm more n likely going to take FSU. If the Ville beats them, tip of the cap to you and everyone else who called it.

Florida State coming off a bye with something to prove against a weak offensive team. Parker helps but this team is just not that good. FSU may actually be a little underrated now as hard as that is to believe.

FSU couldn't be more underrated. It looks like i'll be waiting until around game time with this line as it will get to 3. It dropped 2.5 for Karlos Williams??? He hasn't looked good all year.

Boom as much as love to fallow your threads for some crazy reason I feel this game may get out of hand. You possibly may be on the wrong side here. Considering the circumstances... ???

It's hard for undefeated teams to win on the road at this time of year. We saw what happened in Baton Rouge last Saturday, and UL and FSU are more closely matched than LSU and Ole Miss were.

I'm tired of seeing Winston run to his coach after the final whistle and saying something to him. I'm sure it is something like "another win coach" or "7 down 7 to go".
I want to see what he does when they lose. Hope it is this week.

FSU's D has faced some athletic QB's which has given them trouble. That won't be the case in Louisville, allowing them to pin their ears back and bulrush, rather than worrying about containment. This will be a great game, but in the end, I don't see Lou scoring more than 20, while FSU with Winston has never scored less than 34. GL

Notre Dame should have beaten Fla St but the football God's didn't allow it. Fla St may lose a game this year but it's not going to be to Louisville--and the majority of folks on covers consensus agree with me!

I'm a big fan of this play! Early this morning the line moved to 7 across the board, and I hesitated because I was greedy, thinking it would go to 7.5 at some point before gametime...
A few hours later it was down to 4 at Bookmaker...
I still think it will go back up, but I doubt I will see 7 again... and if push comes to shove, I will take 3.5 if I have to...

If you make your bets based on what the covers consensus say, you must be broke, LOL. Not saying UofL will win the game, but Petrino has only lost 1 game at Papa Johns in his career at UofL. Our defense is legit, Fla St has not faced a defense like ours yet, our offense is coming together with key players finally healthy. Going to be a great game, Thursday can NOT get here fast enough.
Oh and one pretty well respected poster on the NFL forum, told everyone to jump on Redskins last night, when "covers consensus" picked Dallas. Many people ridiculed him for it, Skins won S.U. he mentioned in that post to go with Louisville BIG.
