Well, according to the latest SI issue (where they predicted the scoring in each quarter) the final will be 23-16 Alabama.
I think it was 7-6 in the 1st quarter, and then a strong 2nd quarter by Bama will be enough to prevail.
SI used yrds per carry and passing to come up witht he scenario. They have "ND driving late but down two scores. They have to settle for a FG..." Basically they have the ND offense sputtering like four times in the redzone.
The entire scenario has a redshirt freshman QB of ND just blowin it at key times (missing reads and wide open receivers).
Many people just cringe at his inconsistency, but he does throw a "perfect spiral" (catchable).
I believe he was benched in the Pitt game because of this, but returned late in the 3rd qrtr.
Overall though, you have to feel the Pitt game was a trap, coming right after the Oklahoma win. Likewise the A&M defeat came a week after the LSU game, so also a trap for them.
I think SI undersetimated the ND redzone defense, while at the same time emphasizing the 4th quarter time os possesion of alabama, who gains 6-7 yrds per carry and consumes 8+ min of clock. Yeah got it. But these are games with the lead of 10+ points.A&M has left the gameplan to defeat Bama: Get on top early, and keep the ball outta the hands of the offense. I don't think the final score was as close as the score indicates, and that A&M could've extended thei lead late with better offensive flow. The last drive should've been meaningless.
I think the game will be close, but ND can help their cause by getting up a few scores early, and keep Bama in a preditable passing game.
SI also noted that ND gets a lot of sacks and (surprisingly) Alabama gives up more than they should (ranking 79th). So a predictable passing play and a few sacks will keep Bama out of their ball control rushing attack.

Denard Robinson was a complete liability in that onef--an INT for a defensive TD is a no-no. Mich also had two key players out. Embarrassing loss and then the drone of "SEC SEC" from the fans at the end of the game (like they always do at any sports contest--I've heard it at bb and baseball). ESPN loved that result. It was a key tone setting game for Alabama and the SEC. Now they are "cashing in" on the Big Ten's demise (ohio St and Penn St) and if they beat ND you will hear the roar : SEC ! SEC ! SEC !
Sounds like someones hate for the SEC is getting in the way of winning money.

Some conclusions are based on sound logic regarding personnel:
If Urban Meyer has a winning program at Utah and nearly wins a NC there; then goes to Florida and wins it there (w/ a Jesus wannabbee QB who runs like a halfback), and goes to Ohio St and goes undefeated, safe to say that we all saw it comin, and we can predicyt he could win it all at the helm a few more years. Just using logic. I win there; I win here. I can make a winning program. He did this OUTSIDE of the SEC. So there isn't any magic fairy dust over the SEC. It is the entire program, built on one man's winning combination of skills and management.
Am I off track here?
A win by Oklahoma points in the direction of a ND victory.

Most conferences have maybe two top echelon teams that are national title contenders.
The BCS (which includes ESPN) is being investigated by congress for violations of anti-trust laws. What does that mean?
It means they have an oblgation of arm's length negotiating and acting in the best interests of the public.
They clearly have not been doing that. They are manipulating Bowl matchups to eliminate non-BCS schools; they have contributed to the breakup of major conferences as a direct result. This affects the jobs of thousands--players and coaches and entire programs. The manipulation, control and politiking is seriously damaging.
The days of conference comparisons (whisch leads to monoploization and corruption) should be over. In any sport. In the long run, politics and money and greed ruin even the best conferences (whatever that means--superiority??). Big East in basketball is through, or forever altered isn't it?. Big 12 in football is now torn apart by Texas greed.
Need a playoff system and the NCAA needs to start being preoactive on many fronts. Stp being puppets that deal out unfair punishments to entire programs and look at the politics and control issues that are ruining the sport and affecting the lives of everyone involved.
Then again, this kind of thinking and logic is too much for a boatload of gamblers who are concerned only with their next bet.
Gamblers rarely utilize logic. They trust their luck. Fools.

Arizona Cardinals beat NE in NE.....
So according to you, St Louis, Buff, Minn, Chic, Jets would all beat NE
es, they are capable of beating NE. NE hasn't beaten anyone with a winning record, so what's your point in elevating NE?

A & M beat Oklahoma. Sooners looked like they gave up there at the end. Not enough fight in them.
Alabama therefore is the correct favorite.
No, it doesn't mean they will cover, or even win. It means that all signs POINT to an Alabama win and cover.
Only ND's defense can change what ought to happen on Championship Monday.
I am only applying a logical base.
To hell with all you a$$ clowns who are foolhardy, emo gamblers with no sense of logic or factual evidence.
I don't believe i will be betting this game at all. I will enjoy it more than y'all stressing 'bout your money instead of watching the facts play out in front of your eyes.

ALABAMA CRIMSON TIDE
ought to be your NC Champs once again.
Expect a loooow scoring game. Well, looks like linesmakers are all over this as the line is 40 and change, and Bama is 10 plus fifty cents.
GL ND. I wanna see a closely fought game--and ---
I look forward to 2013-14 and FINALLY a PLAYOFF SYSTEM in place!!!
