Sure that a s s whooping of LSU has got most people liking them. Why wouldn't it? Is it an over reaction? I don't know, maybe...but that looked like a legit beat down.
What was a bigger statement...Georgia beating ND in a tight one, or Miss St's blow out of LSU?
Can you trust Georgia's shakey O line? Dudes look kinda small to me.
Can you trust true Freshman Jake Fromm under center? He hasn't been asked to do much, but hasn't made the big mistake yet. He got away with some crap against Samford because he could. Attempted only 13 passes. I can only think that he will be asked to do more vs the Bulldogs.
I think I could trust Nick Fitzgerald...Big dude and a dual threat. He's a Georgia native and the game should mean a lot to him. He's protecting the ball better than last year. 7 TD's, 1 INT, no fumbles.
I don't think that the Georgia Defense has seen a well balanced offense like Miss State's yet, nor a QB of this caliber. On the flipside you can say the Miss State's offense hasn't seen a defense like Georgia's.
I feel like both running games can be contained in this one, if so, then it's on the QB play, o line pass pro and wide receivers that will make the difference.
Line opened Georgia -3.5 and sits at -6.5 now. And it's looking to hit -7, with a higher % of the tickets on Mississippi state.
If the line hits +7.5 I will almost certainly play Miss St. Unless some one can talk me out of it. Please, only x's and o's/scheme/personal/coaching talk preferred.
Thanks fellas

Love Miss St here, Kirby has 0 big wins so far, Freshman qb who beat a Notre dame team who has not beat a contender in who knows how many years. Miss St is going to stack the box and make Fromm beat them, Chubb and Michel are great but so far in big games the gameplans have not been... It does look to easy and that does scare me.. But still rolling with Miss St +6.5 already in. Wish would have waited for 7..

Georgia has a great defense... truly... but Fitzgerald us playing on another level right now. To do what he did to the LSU defense? Yeah... i got it at 7

maybe so but it's square to bet Clemson every week and they cover
it's square to bet Patriots last 5 years and they keep covering
sharp and square is nonsense, every game has a winner and a loser
if Miss St doesn't cover this week it won't be because that was the square side
Yes sir I agree. I'm not scared of RLM anymore like I used to...does it mean more money is moving the line? Yes. Is that money right? Not always. I'm having a tough time figuring out who's backing Georgia and why. The line in the first place, imo is off. The opener suggests Georgia is a half pt better on a neutral field. That's a hard conclusion for me. Miss St ML will offer great value considering the spread.
@Mbiddy, yes I agree that Jake has been solid as a game manager. But this game I feel will require him to go above and beyond that(I think) Can Georgia dirty this game up for a full 4 quarters and win another tight one alla Notre Dame? If so I still couldn't lay a TD if that's how they are going to win. It would require perfect execution on the defensive side, and mistake free play on the offensive side/special teams.
Good talk, can't wait for this one

if the game was two weeks from now, Miss St + 7 is a no brainer
the issue here is the spot
it is hard for college teams to get up emotionally two straight weeks especially after they beat a team they aren't used to beating
case in point, USC, they blasted Stanford (who they don't beat in recent years) and almost got caught napping against a feisty Texas team
college betting has so much to do with emotions and spots
I took the 7 for crazy small knowing it's a terrible spot, I just think Miss St is the better team and if UGA can beat them by more than 7 then I'll say great game to Bulldogs and not sweat it

So true about spot capping Wahoo. For me, if I'm to play Miss State again, it would be because I trust Dan Mullen enough to keep them focused. I did read some post-game thoughts from Bulldog players saying how they "expected" to beat LSU, so it'll be interesting to see how they respond here.
If they, for example, were taking a big step down in class this week (after beating LSU) and laying 35+ points to someone inferior, I wouldn't even think of playing the game.

I’m a huge fan of Mississippi State and attends all their
home games, I really don’t think people and media are catching on to MSU yet.
It seems to me that everyone is making excuses that it had more to with Ed Ogeron
being over his head than MSU being that good. Which is common when MSU beats
anybody. MSU has been dominate, especially on the defensive side of the ball,
and from what I’ve seen they’re better than Georgia. The Sportsbooks had the
line opening at -3 and the public bet it up to -7. I had MSU last week against
LSU and I will be betting on them again against UGA. They will be focused, Dan Mullen is a great
coach and Todd Grantham, the new defensive coordinator, will go back to Athens
for the first time since being let go there.

I wouldn't look too much into the LSU game necessarily. LSU is overrated again, and will struggle to find a pulse on offense with that fat bafoon coaching. In saying that, 7 points seems way too high. I'd lean Miss State here. Georgia hasn't beaten anybody yet, so not sure why they're getting all the love here

UGA homer, no way would I lay 7 with a team that will be happy to score 20 offensive points; Ga D will have no problem containing Fitzgerald but the uga secondary is suspect; if parish practices and can suite that will big for the ga D; I think the value is on the under.
Does anyone remember ole miss beating Obama a few years back and getting man handleed by UF the next week, despite UF looking terrible and Ole Miss looking great; that lone was 7 as well I believe.
College kids have emotional swings and the focus will be easier for Ga despite how good Mullen has been, good luck to the state backers, bc at 7 ga can go to 4-0 and y'all can still get paid.
Should be a great hard nose defensive battle

I am still looking to revenge from last week. Not because I am a fan of lsu but a bigger fan of money. I had a bunch of my parlays are for suckers lost with lsu as a last leg. I'm done with lsu for the year and I can't find a spot to fade miss St. Here either....
Ga has a hard time covering at home. They got a new qb after their main guy is out with an injury during the first game against app St. Their cb is out with a foot injury and is questionable for Saturday.
Only thing going for ga is the head coach who spent years in Alabama as a defense coordinator and has the experience to know what offense miss St. Likes to run with.
Besides that, laying points on a hot rider like miss St is mad crazy. I too like miss St but it's another dayam if I do and they become flat or dayam if I fade n it is like last week all over again.
I'll sit out and if miss St wins, someone should put them in the top 20 for contention.
Good luck guys.

I've been following State for over 50 years; never seen them play any better than they did against LSU. They dominated. I couldn't believe it was State, to be honest. Man for man, this year's team is much better than the one that held the NO. 1 spot a coupla years ago.
Fitzgerald being a Georgia boy, no way is he gonna have a letdown for this game. It wouldn't surprise me if they kicked the other Dawgs from Athens in the mouth the way they beat up on LSU.

1) Georgia was 8-5 last year, barely above average. Kirby Smart has not impressed me at all.
2) MSU was 6-7 last year and was totally over-matched by the SEC elite teams. But Dan Mullen, while not a good recruiter, is a very good coach.
3) MSU beat LSU by 30, but LSU has a retarded Neanderthal for a head coach. He might have the lowest IQ of any head SEC coach of all time.
4) MSU is obviously better than they were last year, but how big of a leap can we realistically expect from this bunch? Fitz is a very good runner but an average passer.
5) How much of a letdown can we expect from State? And did the huge win over LSU make Georgia take State more seriously?
All said, I think a fair line is Ga -4.5, but I will likely stay away from this one. One thing is 100% sure -- the Bulldogs will win.
