I ordered mine back in early February. If they shipped
mine out on Friday , and I got it on Monday. That's
not bad.

just my opinion....

But Steels magazine has gotten to be overrated. Ever since he teamed up with ESPN I haven't cared too much for this guy.

I don't. I believe pressbox goes more into
individual game stats and matchups. Some might
find that helpful . After  game 1, I generate my own
stats and matchup data. I use his mag primarily
to track injuries on his roster pages.

The one College Football Magazine I really miss is :

Chuck Bauers " College football Betting guide "

He would have capping information on every game
for all college football teams for the year in one
publication. It was outstanding.This goes back to
the 80's. When I was flying into LV to bet football,
I would run into him at a local casino and hang
out and talk some football.Great times.

I told him it was Air Force ( back in the days when
Dee Dowis was running wild ). Turns out that he

Yes they did. As I recall it was 1989 , and their
opponent was Wyoming. Those two teams have
had some great games and over the years , I've
cashed tickets on both sides of that matchup.

I have subscribed to Pressbox the last few years and have been a recipient and reader of the Steele mag for many years.  Steele's knowledge and understanding of the game is voluminous and encyclopedic. 

I find the mag to be most helpful the first few games of the season, as it seems best used as a primer.  As for Pressbox, Steele is more of a fan than he is a prognosticator.  I consider it just another tool in the capping process and definitely NOT the final word on the outcome of a contest.

I also read the weekly Bleacher Report breakdown on all the D1 games (comes out online on Thursdays during the season).  I have found their analysis to be very topical and they pick way more upsets than Steele does.

However you do it, information is simply a tool.  You still have to do your own work and trust your instincts. And don't believe anything you hear on ESPN.

As for Air Force - love em!  I live about four hours from the Academy and go to at least one game every year

WAS THERE JUNE 4 - 7  @ORLEANS CASINO. LOST ABOUT 5G ON CRAPS BUT DID WELL ON SPORTS GAMBLING BUT STILL LOST ABOUT 1G, NOT BAD! HAD A GREAT TIME!

1st i agree with Boom Steele is becoming a bit of a diva as he's in bed with ESPN now. ESPN crap all over his magazine

I just mine in the mail noticed that his Big 10 standings are all out of orderThe printing place printed LY's predictions in order

I gotta say something about PHIL STEELE Magazine,  and I mean no disrespect towards him because he knows his CFB.  But his magazine isn't the greatest thing since slice bread.
If you choose any team and do a preview on that team, it's very hard to come away with info of the 2015 season.  He has alot of information during past seasons building up to the 2015 season but then there isn't much info telling us about the up-coming season.  My opinion it's garbage.  Lindleys,  Harris,  ESPN and Athlons are pretty good but Steele's mag. isn't all that.
