Do I love June Jones? YES! The man makes the game as fun to watch as anyone you'll ever see. Does SMU love JUne Jones? Eventually! I don't care who you are you are not going to take a team that posted only 1 win last year and is currently riding a 10 game losing streak to the BCS. They no doubt will be exciting and fun to watch and I also have no doubt that in a few years we might see a resurgence in the Mustanf program reminiscent of the glorious days of running backs "gone wild"! Not now though, and certainly not with 2 Freshman QBs sharing the snaps. In my mind this game plays out in the following manner"
Rice and QB Chase Clemment will have their way offensively as he builds upon his 3,377 yards passing and 19 TDs through the air last year against an SMU team that gave up over 300 yards per game through the air last year. the kid also has great legs as he added 535 yards on the ground and 8 more TDs. SMU, despite going with the 2 Freshman QB rotation should also find success offensively as they utilize the famous "spread" offense against a Rice team that gave up a whopping 42.9 points per game last year!
SMU will not be able to trade TD for TD with Rice. They will score points, but not in a tit for tat fashion as they will have some offensive series that don't go well due to the combination of the new offense installed by June and the 2 Freshman QBs trying to run it. This game gets well into the 70's with Rice covering the 3.5 comfortably.

Thanks. Yeah kinda fell off the betting scene last 3 or 4 months or so. Going to Camp Randall for first time in student section so pretty pumped and planning on doing all the analyzing tonight as tomorrow there will be no way I could do a competent job hah

nayrb23 - I like to look at how teams fionished to get an idea of how they will start. Based on that I think Mizz is the play. However, I would not play this game. Zook has done a great job with the Illini and I think that "Juice" is only better this year and shows a more complete package from under center. In last years game Mizz was KILLING Illinois until the Illini erupted and damn near stole the game without Juice! I see an 8.5 line and I do beleive that Mizz wins the game, but I can see an Illini cover. I don't know if that helps you any, but like I said, there is no way I would play this game because I see it as a complete toss-up ATS. BOL with whatever you do,
