bandit1010 - Solid reasoning behind their "favored" status, and with the exception of Kansas not too much chalk to back me away. Memphis is a "live" dog as they have noty lost by more than 7 in the last five matchups. BOL this year my friend. ||Peace_5.gif' border=0>||clover.gif' border=0>

Tulsa #1 Off with P.Smith , but Def. rated # 111. They only played UAB once . That was LY only won by 8 spread was -23. their Def. gave up an average of 35 points. LY they were --13 three times, -15 once, and -23 once and didn't cover any of them.
Think I will lay off this one. Good Luck

Going to take some of last nights winnings and throw them at tonights card.
Temple at Army
Hard to go against a team that returns all 22 starters from last years squad. The Owls 4-8 record last year represented their most wins since 2002 which coincendently is the last time they won an opener! If you watched the Owls last year, and I know that not many of you did, you would know that they really should have posted a 5-7 record because there is no doubt in anyone who was watching miond that Temple did indeed beat UConn! Unfortuneatly, therein lies my one and only hesitation in tonights matchup, because I know that everyone on Broad Street and everyone in an Owls uniform is looking forward to the "revenge" matchup with UConn and could possibly be overlooking the Black Knight tonight. However, even at overlooking this one, I do not see how they can't cover the TD spread. Army hasn't won an opener since 1996 and to compound matters they will be unveiling their new "option" offense tonight and I fully expect them to struggle with the new system. Carson Williams should be able to run better than he threw last year as his 16 TD passes were overshadowed by his 22 Interceptions. Temple will bring in an offense that averaged a meager 16 ppg last year, however as I said earlier they bring back all 11 starters and QB Adam DiMichele is back under center and his Senior leadership along with his 62% completion rate will certainly test the Black Knight defense that allowed 423 yards per game last year with 190 of those yards coming through the air.
With 22 returning starters there is no way you can go against the Owl tonight. Despite the new offense for Army I do expect them to put points on the board as they will be attacking a Temople defense that allowed more than 200 yards per game on the ground in 2006 and 165 yards per game on the ground last year.
My play for tonight is: Temple -7 and OVER 41.
But, what the hell do I know?
