JDN,
post on twitter mostly so buddies can follow along. not for any other reason.

I think Steele may be on to something with Northwestern v. Cal. Everyone thinks that Cal, arguably the 2nd worst team in the PAC XII behind Colorado, with be able to stick within a TD of a top 25 Northwestern Team that was 10-3 (in a weakened BIG 10) and missed an undefeated season by a cumulative total of 19 points and returns 8 and 7 starts with an outstanding coach. Yes, the Golden Bears may fill their stadium, but when they are down by 20+ at half time, the stadium will empty and everyone will be sipping latte's on Shattuck Avenue...(in essence a fair weathered fan base).
Someone please tell me why I should not jump on Northwestern a -5.5...Back in early summer this line was up to like -8.5. I think part of it is Northwestern's historic reputation for futility. I think this could be a special season for Northwestern...
Tell me what you think, my covers brothers...

I like it.
I like it.
JDN - I like it. I think Cal will have some 1st game under the new regime disconnects. Again, I think NW is a finely tuned machine who may not have elite athletes, but they play smart and together. Dykes will be good for Cal, but he has some work to do in my opinion. If the 11th ranked team in the PAC 12 can beat (or lose by 2 or less) to a Top 25 ranked 4th best team in the Big 10, then the Big 10 is in more trouble than it knows. I don't see it happening. I know DUFL is or was on Cal early, I just don't see it...
JDN - you talked me out of LSU -44 last year...talk me out of NW -3 if you think that's the wrong play. Otherwise I may just play it along with Bama -18 and Ok St -12...
