Looks like nasty weather in Kalamazoo tonight Mega. Rain , thunderstorms, and 20 mph wind. Totals 75 I believe. I've always felt rain was an overrated element when it comes to handicapping, but a strong wind that's a different story

The only thing easier is Iowa's schedule. (just kidding - no car bombs we like Iowa)

I have rarely been able to formulate a counter argument against your picks since I have been following this thread but I wanted to bring up a couple points about this pick. Please inform me if you don't appreciate me playing devil's advocate but I think we are similar when it comes to this crazy stuff and we appreciate other opinions...

I definitely think if you are PRO Bama for this game MISS ST TT u21 is the safest pick on the board but I have been overly impressed with Miss St lately. So, this is more so countering a Bama outright pick but wanted to bring up some points nonetheless.

Yes, Miss St put solid numbers up against inferior defenses but I think you and I can agree that Mizzou actually has a pretty solid defense. Before giving up 31 against Dak and Da Boys (trademark waiting to happen?) they had not given up more than 21 points to any team. Granted, those are teams are generally TERRIBLE on offense but still a pretty interesting stat. Not to mention, those conditions were AWFUL last Thursday night and Dak was still winging around the ball to the tune of 300 yards and 4 TDs. They had 3 TD scoring drives of over 60 yards which is impressive against that defense, I think.

Another play for me here is Alabama notoriously plays down or up to their competition. This is more of a historical observation, I know, but Miss St is not favored or ranked higher (like in the Georgia, A&M and LSU games) and we saw Arkansas and Tennessee go toe to toe with them earlier this year.

Who knocked Miss St off last year? Alabama baby. And Dak has had this game circled all year because of it. One man can not win the game but last year in Tuscaloosa if he would have avoided some uncharacteristic mistakes, he almost did win it! Miss St had a MUCH better defense and supporting cast on offense of course but if you give college kids a little extra motivation its crazy what can happen. Couple that with Bama needing a week to relax after some an emotional win and I think Miss St in a good spot here.

Believe me, I love me some Bama football and I think them, ND and Stanford are probably in my top 3 but I just think 8 points is too much value to pass up on and Miss St will be able to move the ball against what seems like a dominant defense. Texas A&M is TRASH this year and they are really the only similar offense Alabama has faced this season (they put up 23 points). I am throwing out the fluke Ole Miss game because any objective football fan knows more than half of Ole Miss's points were gift wrapped! The rest of the "good offensive" teams they faced are run first (Wisco, LSU, Arkansas).

Anyway, just wanted to see what your thoughts are on these points. Maybe I'm just talking to myself haha. I know you're busy. No need to respond.

Doesn't look like WMU at +3 is budging. Do you think the defense can stop BGSU just enough for WMU to take the lead and win out right? While BGSU has scored an insane number of points this season I think they are more fitness team and once smashed in the mouth they'll crumble against an equal or better team. It's tough to make the call on a game that will be an absolute shoot out and that's what we have here...

I read your post and you said your lean is towards WMU at 4 or better but my degenerateness can't go away from the MAC action even at +3. And I personally like WMU to just win outright.

With that being said in a shootout I always like the underdog ML or the points cause of value and both these teams have played really bad teams in the last 4-5 weeks (MAC....) which really fluffs up their resume. So why the hell not? I think I just convinced myself WMU +3 it is.

Also, won't post but I tailed you on VT+3.5. Leggo.

.....Our huge worry (HOT TAKE) is that horrible pass D against Cincy red hot QB Kiel who we RODE LIKE A BIG BOY in our 274589723495 star Cincy winner last week

....Since coming back from injury he has thrown 11 TD 2 INT and this is probably the worst D he has faced - maybe UCF - but nonetheless - we put Cincy at 44-49 points so while we see "value in the line" we are not sure that Tulsa will be able to keep up Cincy D is not as bad as you think - i mean they are bad but not Tulsa bad.....Tulsa backers can take consolation that their 3-headed RB should all be healthy this week - Langer was out last game and Warren had 168 3 td and Brewer has 82....Finished with 275Y rushing and Cincy run D can be had....That is why we tell all the young Sparkies out there to not freak out and have a meltdown when one RB is out - it is the OL and the DL they are playing that matter....same goes for WR - remember when people were losing their minds when K Lucas was out at WR early Oct? Well Tulsa has scored 40+ 3 straight games so chillax my young Sparkies.....Back to the game.....Tulsa has lost 4 games and they were all to decent teams - OKL Houston Mem and EC....Do not think they are 17+ worse than Cincy BUT BUT the matchup stinks.

Summary. Lean Tulsa at 17 or better.
