wondering if you could look into ntexas at smiss.....north texas is trash. #126 in pass eff, #124 in pass eff D. lost by 18 to smu, 14 to rice and 367 to iowa. smiss improving and can name their number here. played miss st and nebraska tough. jr qb mullens developing nicely. O put up 52 on austin peay and 56 on tex st. seems to me they are a lock for 50 on this ntexas D. with the line at -16/16.5 ntexas has to score 34. with that O?

The spread seems a bit low - but here is the thing - Keeton has not been the same at QB for Utah St since his injury bug issues and Kent Myers did very well last yr - first start was 14/15 vs Hawaii then 13/16 vs Wyoming etc etc...and he can run the ball as well as MATRICULATE so the QB downgrade to us is NOT a downgrade....Problem? Do not see the complimentary weapons like the past couple of years and the pass rush just a notch down too...Col St has already played 2 OT games and one 2 pt game although their schedule is rated #138 by Sagarin and Utah St rated #12 due to games vs Utah and Washington.....Utah St ranked #126 in offense and while we feel the QB change is a wash - and that their D will play ok - points seem like a premium here. Total seems about right.
Summary. No lean. If we had to make a correct prediction or leave Covers forever we would go Utah St -4 due to the superior D and better HC (in our view) and perceived line value - We just are not sure enough to recommend it fully.

I will continue to mull this play over while I bask in the glow of betting Cincinnati +7.5 and ML +210. :-) Miami can just never be depended upon to play thursday night road games. Although as a Miami fan I am sorry to see them go out like that (again).

Mega. Hey Bama fan here. Going to the game and posted this in another topic. Got an email earlier from UGA saying they are closing about half the parking lots due to rain. They are saying it will be to muddy to park and walk on. Also sent out info about the weather with the storm maybe approaching and what to bring in case of this weather. Not sure what it will do but they are preparing for wet conditions. I believe this will favor Bama if it comes close and the weather deteriorates. Think their D will be able to stop the run much more efficient than Georgia. Don't think the coaches will air the ball out unless way down and necessary. Wanted your thoughts on this. Just a little FYI to pass along from the email and what they are preparing for. I locked in Bama and the under but what do I know.

NIU/Chips UNDER 51.5 (and holding)
Ohio/Zips UNDER played at 46, now 44.5
No Tex/So Miss OVER 63 now 66.5
Idaho/Ark State UNDER 65 (and basically holding)
Battle of New Mexico OVER 65 (now up to 69 )
Nice looking plays buddy We especially like the Chips under and N Texas over among those but cannot argue with any.......Will be fun to watch the totals move today due to weather impacts. GL

And so do all the freaks that read this thread I would also lean under and Bama if the weather is what they say - but - I have learned many times to not overthink it when bad weather comes - there is usually more randomness with bad weather that you just never know. More importantly - enjoy the game and stay safe all you guys and gals out there in that bad weather and flooding
