Hey everyone

.....What a crazy week of games !

Very entertaining. Looking forward to some more banter with you guys this wk. 4-1 last wk. 5/6 winning wks. On to week 7.

Last wk we started early - dug deep - and found a five alarm BAG OF POO with USC

.....Gonna take one early play this wk as well

SUNDAY MEGALOCKS EARLY TASTER

First play

Central Michigan +10.5 (Betonline)

We like this one quite a bit.....Remember not playing ML - playing the idea of a closer game than people think.......NIU has won 28 straight home games by our count - 24 straight MAC home games if our stats are correct - however the vast majority of those were with all-timer J Lynch at QB.

The case ...fade away or follow

1) NIU using multiple QB and one seems to be the passer - and one seems to be the runner - in either event - this seems to be working on and off with no real success or continuity.

2) NIU been very sloppy this yr compared to year's past - a lot of that has to do with the QBs and the OL needs to gel

3) NIU has played 10 straight bad quarters - outscored 29-27 vs UNLV...blown out by Arkansas - expected - then hung on to beat Kent St by 3 points as 26 point favs

almost blew it vs a collection of backup Kent QBs in the 4Q.

4) Crowd-Will-Be-Rocking Guy should note NIU 8-9 L17 as home fav and that was essentially with Lynch all those games

5) Chips star RB Rawls is BACK; So is stud WR Davis - both those guys missed a ton of action including back to back games where the Chips lost combined 64-13. Last wk Chips destroyed Ohio and Rawls went for over 200 and Davis had a monster game....This team already won big at Purdue

6) Chips very experienced squad

7) With a loss to Toledo already Chips will be very focused on this one to stay in MAC hunt

8) Chips D ranked 2nd in MAC, 4th vs run

9) QB edge - CMichigan

10) NIU sp tms not good this yr so far PK a gong show and star niblet return guy/WR out for yr

GL guys - should have some write-ups time permitting tomorrow - This card looks tight again to us - you may feel different - but our ratings are pretty similar to the ones incorporated in early lines.

Mega, how is this for the Chippewas balanced offense versus a pretty good defensive team:

233 passing yards

234 rushing yards

42:19 TIME OF POSSESION!!!!

Rawls has big time talent...was a Michigan signee and the RB is a stud. This team had 19 returning starters. I guess the injuries slowed them down but hopefully they are back on track to do that to Ohio who has a decent D.

Gotta say, the only play I saw from you last week was USC, because by the time you got around to other plays it was so late in the week, I (and many others, I would imagine) have already formulated opinions and stopped sifting through the mass of pointless threads here on covers...

You are a great capper, but I have always found this to be a problem with your plays... just an observation!

As per usual guys will go thru the games in order as best I can - use the Covers scoreboard and do it that way after checking out any early plays I might like (e.g. C Michigan this wk)

Focus for us is getting down our analysis so you guys don't have to dig as much and maybe it helps you out on your plays.

UCF 3 BYU

Tough one to get a handle on....BYU loses all world QB last wk which is brutal we just loved watching that guy play....No idea how good C Stewart is and now they go on the road dealing with the emotional loss of their QB and losing to utah st....Get the UCF D which is ranked #30 and probably not going to give up much....Problem?? Well UCF offense is ranked #119 which is really hard to do and were held to 10 first downs last wk - held on by the skin of their teeth....But UCF is tougher than a night in jail - got the job done....We have the fair line at a pick em but dont put much stock into that since we have no clue how well byu might play with the new QB....BYU can also hold their own in the sack on D - especially vs the run....gotta 100% pass on the side - strong lean to the under but will wait to see what number pops up hoping for something near 50 might get us to look at the under but do not see that happening. PASS for now - may revisit total if 50ish.

Stanford 17 Wash StWe have the fair number right here at 17.....totals guys are gonna have fun - #1 scoring D against a stupid explosive wash st passing offense - QB set the ALL TIME FBS passing yds in a game record last wk in the one pt loss to Cal....This followed a one pt win over Utah....not sure how much Wash st can have in the tank - or for that matter - how much Stanford can have after another ND home miracle boned them and they have Az St on deck....sandwich ?? Cant touch this game guys....one thing we will note - not super impressed with Stanford so far - maybe have been brainwashed by your ESPN pals....yes lost a couple 3 pointers to decent teams but how good is USC? ND is decent but Stanford only managed 205Y??? yes weather was dicey but we now think Stanford might not be elite - just very good ...run game?? turnovers ??- making big spreads like this a bit of a risk......no strong lean on this anywhere - PASS

I was considering Wash St but as you said how much do they have in tank and I agree about Stanford, not very impressive this year, if the line goes up during the week I'd throw a small play on Wash St.
