lol, hey I'm going to be @ the game too.  Got suckered into betting on UCLA just cuz i was at the game.. terrible idea.

Oregon 3 UCLA
Another tough one for the MEGALOCKS staff to get a firm  conviction on....It is a funny situation b/c both teams are probably not as good as we thought - but yet - still pretty good.....What stands out to us with Oregon is the run game is below their standards - yes 13th in rushing but only at 5.3/pop and who would have thought this late in the season their longest run would be 53Y? D ranked 102 and have lost 3 straight ATS by over 50 pts combined - could have been 4 str if they did not front door Sparty in early September....Just do not seem to be clicking - they are however good lately in the role of road fav and passing game has been lights out - MM 15 TD and 0 INT whaaaaaaaaaaat?.......This is absolutely a put up or shut up game for oregon - P12 champ still a goal - but hey this can be said for UCLA too....Missed 2 long FG tries in a home loss to scrappy Utah (back on the man crush list) scoring points but giving up a lot too - very very disappointed in their D - ranked 85 and gave up a boatload on the ground to Utah last wk including having all kinds of trouble with their mobile wonder kid at QB and workhorse RB....uh oh - here comes Oregon....maybe this is what their ground game needs??? Oregon 5-0L5 SU vs UCLA....So???? As you can tell - to us their seems to be big Q marks for each squad - We have the fair line at 3....was hoping for a spread near 7 but hahahahahahaahaha that was never gonna happen - do not see much value - PASS on side......ML - will include UCLA in ML dog parlays ....Total? Gonna see what number comes out will revisit - everyone loves overs in oregon games - we took advantage of that in a 24987239057234809 star MEGALOCKS winner last wk  but the problem is - we trust Az D much more than UCLA which is sad.....Will look at team totals on Wed.....mega

As per usual guys will go thru the games in order as best I can - use the Covers scoreboard and do it that way after checking out any early plays I might like (e.g. C Michigan this wk) 

Focus for us is getting down our analysis so you guys don't have to dig as much and maybe it helps you out on your plays.


UCF 3 BYU
Tough one to get a handle on....BYU loses all world QB last wk which is brutal we just loved watching that guy play....No idea how good C Stewart is and now they go on the road dealing with the emotional loss of their QB and losing to utah st....Get the UCF D which is ranked #30 and probably not going to give up much....Problem?? Well UCF offense is ranked #119 which is really hard to do and were held to 10 first downs last wk - held on by the skin of their teeth....But UCF is tougher than a night in jail - got the job done....We have the fair line at a pick em but dont put much stock into that since we have no clue how well byu might play with the new QB....BYU can also hold their own in the sack on D - especially vs the run....gotta 100% pass on the side - strong lean to the under but will wait to see what number pops up hoping for something near 50 might get us to look at the under but do not see that happening. PASS for now - may revisit total if 50ish.

Totally agree with you on the under in the BYU/UCF game. When Hill went down they were already down 2TD's, so a lot of pressure on the new guy to get the ball down the field. This week think they will try to take the pressure off and run a lot on 1st/2nd down and eat a lot of clock.

Throb. I usually do 7 teamer and play 5 6 7 combos and maybe the 4s if I'm on a heater. Also like 5 teamers play 3 4 5s.

2 requests, ou/tex and Osu/kan if you will doctor. I know you go over most games but these are on key numbers and I'd like to be on the right side before movement occurs.

Hoyas.....We suggest 2%-3% bankroll max on any play. We think CM +10.5 was 3%....8.5-9 points is as low as we would go and would only put 2% on the game at that number....Sounds crazy that is what we do. So IF you agree with the play and only if - I would suggest 2/3 standard wager size. GL.

WAIWAI - may only have a limited number of plays this wk buddy....Lots of great threads around with picks if you need a fill !   Sadly the only way we can participate like we do on Covers is to squeeze in game analysis when time permits - go thru them slowly one at a time after our initial scan - it just takes time. Almost never get to all the games that used to bother us but not anymore our win % way up when we take our time GL

Okie St 20.5 Kansas
Not a game we want to get interested in - have the fair line closer to 15/16 you are definitely paying a premium to take Kansas - 2nd game with new HC....D is actually not horrible.....Okie St lookahead situation to TCU mitigated by the fact that our man crush Gundy  has a great record as a road fav....Kansas QBs are brutal but should find a way to get a couple scores have been ok at home vs a couple marginal teams and texas (insert joke here).....the pornstar Michael Cummings got into the game at QB last wk for Kansas did not make much of a difference.....5 alarm mess down there is kansas - lean okie st just will not pay 20.5 line will almost certainly hit 21.....remember kansas has only given up 28 41 10 23 33 on D so its not like they are E Michigan.....PASS on this one....Value Guy may like Kansas but do not think there is enough of a buffer there - last wk vs W Va you were getting a full TD of value....GL

Stud QB Kiel out for Cincy - bad news - just when you thought the MUNCHIE ERA was over - and thank God for that - he may get the start this wk for Cincy which would be fine if Cincy had a D - but to be honest - that D is beyond disgraceful no way we can call out Cincy this wk for a play even if the line is much higher than it should be - especially since our Canes like to #shitthebed at home and are an unmitigated disaster ATS the last yr and change.......Total looks about right just noticed they are up we had it at 60 - see a 58/59 number - a game we will avoid like a smelly fat chick

For the whatever it's worth department (you have me talking just like you)  I came out of retirement and am investing in some wagers this year for first time in awhile. I won last week going 7-3 and all  bets are 110/100. Since I know from the past I can't pick anything but my nose I obviously am looking for help.

Long story short I have been closely monitoring your picks, Train 69's picks, Jimmy Da Freak's picks and CalBear's picks. The games I picked from each picker's menu Train69 went 12-6, Freak hit 10-5, and CalBear went 5-1, and you (Mega) went 3-1.

What I did was find games on the picker's menu that aligned with other pickers and sorta got a majority/consensus.

Sorry for writing a book, just thought other bettors may want to try that!

The above pickers have demonstrated to me that have a clue and I certainly appreciate their help!

Mega any chance you can look at the utsa vs fiu game? I just dont understand why utsa is a 14 pt favorite after getting beat by new mexico as a 17 pt fav and benching the starting qb while fiu has won two in a row albeit somewhat ugly and lucky. Thanks

What do u make of Indiana this week. Opened at plus 7 moving to plus 3. Are people fading Iowa as Kirk ferenz non believers or is Indiana suddenly a public team. Iowa is slow and predictable on offense but the D is stout and it's homecoming at Iowa. Odd line movement IMO.

Yes, I am a UK fan (basketball fanatic) but even with my bias, I think Stoops figured out something last week about this team. The wildcat is the way to go.and SC obviously couldn't stop it. Conversely SC ran the ball with much success in the first half but decided in 2H they wanted to pass more which eventually got UK back in the game. Twice we overcame 2 TD deficits. UK defense avg at best but am thinking they're gonna score more than in the past. The wildcat takes the frown off my face as I'm not overly optimistic of our QB Towles who's passes are suspect a lot to me. Now will they cover this weekend, I want to pull the trigger but can't

Line has moved up to 21.5 and I'm just gonna watch the game, not sure UK can hold them to 17 but think UK will score about 41. That's too close to bet money on IMO!

ULM avgs 18 pts per game, allows 24 ppg. UK avgs 34 a game, gives up on avg 19.

If you were talking to me I highly recommend the four in my post. I've been  monitoring them for over a month and  I assure you they are better than the average joe blow who throws out picks w/o any research!
