Looking into Purdue myself, make or break year for Darrell Hazell and his staff, Marshall loses long time QB in Cato but returns RB, I like Purdue in this one for sure

Boilers will have the edge at QB, and their O-line returns all 5 prior year starters vs Marshall losing 4 of 5 starters across their D-line.... Ive got the edge in 2 major categories...QB and LOS. Ill take the points!

Cats have decent weapons on offense, at home ...against a team breaking in a new qb... Sunbelt conf. Teams historically struggle against power conferance teams.

On the first three Gman - admittedly know nothing about the Boilermakers this year.
Tell us about the trojans? Do you have any intel on fall camp, how they're doing? Obviously an embarrassment of riches in terms of talent and I read where they're playing Adoree at practically every position. I'm wondering how they're doing mentally and mental toughness, as I'm still not 100% sold on Sark and I'm not even sure why... :) thanks!...

Oh, I see, my bad - 'usc' for you must refer to Gamecocks, not Trojans. Disregard above! :)
All we know about the trojans is we can find any sturdy enough to handle our 'cocks.... Ok, admittedley thats hackneyed, juvenile humor...why not. - I can tell u the Gamecocks fall practice has not been very encouraging....the ball coach is still giving equal repa to 4 different QB's...2 wks out and we dont have a names starting QB.... YiKES

That is concerning ... would be tempted to place a small wager on Tar Heels were it not for the fact that they have supposed to have been getting better for most of the last decade but haven[t ever seemed to actually do it -- I'll have to see it first before I believe it.
Tell me what it is about Arizona that makes them a 2 U play for you (other than UTSA should absolutely suck balls this year). thanks!

Watch out for freshman RB Markell Jones. This kid looks impressive on tape. This games will be closer than most anticipate.

You said it yourself about UTSA....they will suck the salty sweat off balls this year....only 2 returning starters on offense....remember they just started playing FB in 2011...they lost their initial senior class after last season...they're not even rebuilding, they are still in the initial "building" stage.......it is a play dead against UTSA...they are completely outmatched here. - Even against UA mediocre defense, i dont see them scoring more than 10...and UA will coast to at least 50. - 55 - 10 AZ opens up a can of woop ass in from of the home croud

Anything else you can tell us about USC coming into this season?
The defense will be better....added #2 juco prospect DE marquavius lewis...he has the potential to be a devestator off the end...SC will have much improved line play, taking pressure off the d-backs. - Much better tackling and fundamentals are the defensive report out of fall practice... That being said....im not confident about the opener against UNC....until i see them stop a mobile threat QB, i cannot back the gamecocks with any hard earned $$

Agreed re: Gamecocks generally - this is a rebuilding/retooling year for USC... they will be competitive but too many pieces missing to go above 8 wins IMO, and that might be generous.
I'll give you something in return - I haven't been to any practices this summer but am an alum and a number of my buddies have - believe the hype on the Razorbacks. (Looks from your wager that you have). I did see the Spring game and reports from fall camp are more of the same: BEASTS on both LOS, offensive and somewhat surprising defensive; significantly improved secondary play, to be expected with returning experience; Brandon Allen has been a model of consistency, leadership, and not making mistakes. For example, he was 17-22 in the scrimmage this past weekend, 250 yards, 1 pick (he had zero in spring game). Even losing Jonathan Williams, which hurts, truth is it gives Collins more touches and he is the better upside of the two backs, and Hogs have two other fine players in relief. I'm telling you here and now, assuming BA doesn't get hurt - if he goes down, all bets are off - all those SEC one-score games they lost over the past two years when they were 0-whatever in league play they will win this year due to controlling the point of attack and poised QB play. Razorbacks win 10 games in the toughest division in football - whether or not any value from the books after they destroy UTEP, I don't know. BOL....

Taysom Hill and the Mormons head to Lincoln to face the big red machine under 1st year coach Mike Riley....I think the key here is to consider the inevitable learning curve every offense goes through when learning a new offensive style....Mike Riley has always had pro style QBs in a pass heavy attack...with new schemes means new plays, new audible and protection packages etc....this will make for tuff sledding against a pretty veteran BYU defensive line...I think there's a chance the cougs could pull the upset here. I'll take the & pts on the road.
Still waiting on a few more...c prior posts...will update as they come in.
