This is the same Oklahoma team we've seen over and over in recent years. Best team in their conference, but they don't play defense and their offense can't produce against the top teams in other conferences. I know some thought having Hurts there would change this game's outcome, but LSU is just in a different league than the Sooners.

And we still only have 2 Semi Final games that have ever been close in 6 years

Most likely, they would be in again if they were to be undefeated from a major conference. 

It's hard (and probably unfair) to hold previous years teams against the current roster/year even if the makeup of the team or the competition hasn't changed. 

If they did run the table, the team would have to answer questions though about previous versions of that team and then prove that they are different, but they would have the opportunity to do so.

Yes, that's what is so disappointing about these games. Even if LSU is better than Oklahoma, it doesn't appear they should even be on the same field. That's pretty extreme, and we see this stuff every year. I have to think that preparation plays a role in these lopsided games. It's not as if Oklahoma is some mid-conference team with average recruiting, but they are getting smacked in the face as if they were.

The best defense is a great offense (usually). Let's see how the Buckeyes defense performs tonight. They have played well all season, but their offense has blown most of their competition off the field.

And that is why expanding to 6 or 8 is stupid.   Who wants to see this twice?  Sure some 5-8 seed may pull an upset once or twice, but it would be just more of this.

I think OSU paid the suckers to take Grinch, their defense was abysmal last year.   Yet somehow they are one of the best this year with the same players....

This is just crazy. LSU has 42 points with 4:00 to go in the half against the best team from the Big 12. That is just amazing.

Alex Grinch came from Washington State. As a lifelong OU fan, this is exactly what I envisioned. They have no business being in the CFP. Ultimately it's bad for recruiting.
