I have seen a lot of S Carolina love. I understand. Its an SEC dog, catching a td @ home @ night. Fully aware of all of this. I see people betting SC for that reason and one other....Bama is in a "letdown" spot.
I havent seen one person talk about the matchup. Not one.
Defense travels well. Bama just happens to have the best defense in the country allowing 9 ppg. That includes play the #18, 7 and 10th ranked teams (at that time). The most they've given up is 20 @ Arkansas....Bama is averaging 38 ppg
SC is 33rd in the nation allowing just over 18 ppg and scoring almost 31 ppg.
So my question is, whats more likely to happen:
Bama plays a strong defensive game and doesnt allow more than 20 while putting up over 30....
or
SC scores 2 or 3 times Bamas allowed average (giving them 18-27 points) while holding the Tide 2 tds below their average?
I am going with the first scenario.
I just dont see Steve Spurriers crew having that type of skill. Garcia is no Mallet and the SC backs and recievers are as quick/good as Arkansas. Lattimore will get stuffed as Bama has a stout front 4 and a nice LB crew. Garcias confidence is shaken due to what happened last game.
I'm not saying SC cant/wont win/cover. I just dont think that SCs offense can put up more than 20 points. I also dont think they can handle Richardson/Ingram coming at them being fresh all game.
The Xs and Os play out to Bamas favor imo. They have played in a ton of big games the last 2 years, so why would they let down playing a ranked division foe?
All thoughts welcomed. Tell me I'm wrong. Tell me the Ole ball coach will find a way to coach Garcia up and they will score 30. Tell me the special teams is gonna make all the difference.

I will ride Bama from now own! Arkansas should have been their toughest test! IMO! Bama -6.5 right now I bought the hk and pulled the trigger at -6 ! They feel like they dont lose again and repeat BCS Champions? Of Course Oregon, Michigan, Ohio st, and Boise will have to sort itself out? GL this week Train! Loving Bama, and feel the lines will start being higher after Saturday!

im a huge alabama fan so i rarely ever bet on them but this line is kinda rediculous to me.i thought ark and maybe auburn were the two teams that had the best shot against bama.the ark game played out the way i expected tho i didnt think theyed win at halftime.then florida came along and i nearly crapped my pants on the 1st drive for the gators.then when we won 31-6 i could only say wow, theyre actually pretty damn good.i also saw auburn who has a less than stellar secondary beat this amazing gamecocks passing attack.alabama's secondary, yes has had issues but on their worst day is still better than auburn's.And scar made cam newton look great running the ball,i think mcelroy will look fantastic throwing the ball.may be ugly at halftime
38-10 bama

I fully expect Bama to be able to establish their ground game behind Ingram and Richardson. South Carolina runs a base 4-2-5 defense, which should allow for some pretty modest gains and keep the chains moving. Ellis Johnson is a great defensive coach, and can run alot of variations from his base 4-2-5 with their spur back, coming up as an additional LB, but in my opinion Bama just has too many weapons to actually key on one or two. I will probably still not play this game, but if Bama comes out focused, thet will win easily.

The one thing that BAMA haven't seen all year is a defensive team that is better than theirs. It is intrigue to see how BAMA offense response to a touch defense such as SC at HOME.
I am on SC because I believe SC defense will give BAMA offense trouble. Steve S. will play conservative ball with Garcia, grinding it out and looking to steal the game.

I too am loving Bama. PG line is down to -6.5 love that also. Who knowss maybe SC plays their best game. I can imagine its not hard to get phyched up to play Bama but Im ridding the Bama train also. Drinking the Bama koolaid. Ive seen them play more than a few times and I dont see any reason to not think the Tide roll right over the cock's. Might even load up few more than 1 unit

I honestly don't know why anyone would bet against this team. They have shown no letting off the pedal. Arkansas was as close to a let down as I think it will get.
