The one thing that BAMA haven't seen all year is a defensive team that is better than theirs. It is intrigue to see how BAMA offense response to a touch defense such as SC at HOME.
I am on SC because I believe SC defense will give BAMA offense trouble. Steve S. will play conservative ball with Garcia, grinding it out and looking to steal the game.
first South Carolina's defense isnt better than Alabama's,not statistically or any other way.Sorry but the opposition theyve faced and the teams Bama has played doesnt even compare.alabama has had 1 mediocre half of football all season against the best offense the SEC had to offer and the DEFENSE won that game on the road.If South Carolina had to play Alabamas schedule they would be 2-3,not 3-1.
second.Steve Spurrier has never played concervative football. The goober had a shot to beat auburn, down by 8 and puts a freshman QB in because Garcia fumbled a couple times.I dont care if he fumbled 10 times, uve still got a better shot with him than a freshman.

bama still hasnt given up a TD in the second half this year..... adjustments, adjustments, adjustments
and more than anything, i dont trust spurrier and how he will handle his quarterbacks....he pulled garcia in crunch time of the auburn game and put in the freshman, how long before he throws him to the wolves in this game?

In games like this, where a team has had an extra week to prepare, you cant put too much into stats, especially in a conference game.
Secondly, Alabama depedence on running the football is becoming too great. Greg McElroy didn't complete a pass greater than 10 yards last week?
Also, if you're going to use stats, you're going to have to dig a lot deeper than just ppg and yards. You have to weigh many of them together, including TOP, TOs, and breaking down the stats into run/pass. Bama's red zone D has been good, but teams have been able to move the ball on them between the 20s.
It's also looking like Bama's only tough team so far this year was Arkansas. Tough game to bet on, but that might be some that favor USC.

Bama always gets up for the big games and every week in SEC is a "big week". Carolina and the crowd keep things close the first half, but 2nd half Bama pulls away. Too many horses on this Tide team, if they lose this year it will be by Miss. State or some other lesser team that catches them flat, won't be tonight. Bama 31 - 16
