LSU has 4 running backs with 7 touchdowns or more all averaging 4 yrds per carry. Three are avg. over 5.5 yards per carry. Thats not including JJ who obviously gave Bama problems with the option in the 2nd half of the first game, a game where LSUs hottest back at this point only had 2 carries.

As an observer of the first game do you believe that LSU shut down Richardson in the 2nd half? If LSU shuts down Richardson this time around what else do they have to fall back on? Lacy?

The intangibles in this game are undeniable.

I would take Richardson over any of the LSU backs, only one plays at a time so why does it matter? Its gonna come down to who turns the ball over less, its proably as simple as that. My point is, there is no way LSU is 3 TD's better than Alabama! They did nothing in the first game to prove they are better, the differnce in that game, there kicker made the kick and Bama's missed 4! That's all there was to it! Dont overthink it, and its hard to be rational when your a homer!

And Bama did nothing to prove they were better, on the other hand LSU actually won the game. Kickers are part of the team. But the kicker didnt go for negative yardage in overtime, that was Bama's offense.

The problem with your senario isnt Richardson against ONE of LSUs backs. As for only one plays at a time that is correct. Only one back does, but 2 capable runners will be in at all times. JJ and one of the backs will be in the game at ALL times. So while trying the defend the edges Hillard is going to be pounding between the tackles.

Im tired of betting on sides with horrendous quarterbacks. Both of these teams quarterbacks are garbage but lsu's qb is complete and utter garbage. Even lsu fans have to admit that jefferson is a trash qb.

Bama is a fantastic dog in championship games ask Miami and Texas. The wise guys know this and they bet Bama up right out of the gate and now they are favored in a game they are supposedly not to be in. Bama planned on Lee being the QB in the last game, intercepted him 2 times and Miles had to pull him. With one month to prepare they will do the same to Jefferson. Their QBs will get frustrated, Bama will not attempt long field goals and they will win by 2 TDs....

LSU doesnt have a good QB, so Miles created a team that doesn't need  one.  LSU won 11 games last year with a QB averaging under 100 yards a game. 

As stupid as that sounds its the truth.

I can't wait!  Nice read even if it was from a homer. The sooner LSU wins this snore fest 5-3 game the sooner we can enjoy a playoff system. That's my 2cents~

The ESPN hype machine is saying Alabama is going to win the game. I watch tons of ESPN and that is all i am hearing. Don't know what the heck that guy is watching but he is mistaken. Bama fans just think LSU is lucky when they got outcoached and outplayed. Special teams are part of the team. And Alabama's sucks. Period. No arguement. Bama had 53 yds more offense in the game. LSU outrushed Bama's supposedly unstoppable rushing attack. The first game was close and LSU made the biggest plays of the game and won. Why don't Bama fans accept this? Just baffles me.

I'm here for discussion now...I guess you could've taken LSU +20 and I still would've won that bet...I hate to rub it in, but we had some big talkers in this thread. I'm curious what you have to say now because you were dominated in every part of that game. Roll Tide and better luck next year.
