    SatNightFever05,

The big reason's or more to the fact the SEC has won (5) National Championships in a row. That will change and another conference will win someday. Then you can be happy because all the bullshit you talk about the SEC will have come true for a year.... But until then your shitting into the wind, dogging the better conference all the time.

You are missing the point.. not one post said the SEC wasn't the best conference.. it is hands down.. no one is refuting that..

What is the point (of my last point as least), was when SEC teams do lose marquee games, there's always an excuse.. Oh, Bama wasn't up for it, they could care less- biggest game in Utah's history, blah blah.

The fact is Utah made Bama it's bitch that day.  Deal with it.

It would be like if I was a Texas fan, bringing up that the only reason Bama beat them was because Colt got injured..

There's no way to prove that and of course, you'd be annoyed by that comment.. it's the same thing and works both ways..

No your missing the point, i said nothing about Utah and could give a rats ass about that game even if Alabama won 50-0 i would not bring it up. What i wrote has nothing to do with Alabama i bought up the subject you talk shit about the SEC dogging people on things they say like you own this forum.

People here or not here to fight with you..but you do your best to rub what ever they say in the face, like you know everything and other people don't know nothing.

But i will talk about the Utah game if that's what you want.

Utah's was Alabama bitches i doubt that,

Utah beat Alabama WOW give them a cookie.

Utah won on the 1st qt 21-0 > Utah lost the 2nd qt 0-10 Utah tied the 3rd qt 7-7 and Utah got a field goal the 4th qt 3-0.

That's hardly making Alabama Utah's bitches, because Alabama fell behind the 1st gt.

You'll a computer bully plain and simple, and 10-1 says somebody from the south shit down your neck a time or two!

We get it you hate the SEC but enough is enough you have no right to down grade every person that is a fan of the SEC, and if you would lay-off the hate.

Just maybe the hundreds of people who come here would comment more. So this sports forum could be more user friendly.

Just maybe the hundreds of people who come here would comment more. So this sports forum could be more user friendly.

Like I said… Losing to that Florida team that won the NC after that is not choking, they beat every team by Double digits from the loss to Ole Miss on and hung 50 and 60 on SEC teams.. That team was elite

Again, there was no "shit talking"  I just didn't like that other poster use the Hawaii game (the worst non-aq team to play in a BCS game ever) as a point of reference.. oo, Colt Brennan though that UGA team was the fastest team he ever faced!  Give me a break...

Nowhere in any of my posts will did I say I hate the SEC or don't think it's the best conference in CFB

However, when that same poster that used the Hawaii game starts giving excuses as to why Bama lost to Utah- he needed to be called out.. suck it up- an SEC team lost a BCS game- it happens and all I did was try to point out an example with Texas if the shoe was on the other foot- but clearly you didn't grasp that

And did you just try to give some credit to Alabama for winning the 2nd quarter...

Also, I have no idea what "and 10-1 says somebody from the south shit down your neck a time or two!" means

Yes, a loss is a loss, but anyone who even slightly understands football knows Alabama didn’t want to be there and that was the biggest game in the history of Utah.

In a championship game a team is winning with less than 10 minutes in the game and they give up 14 unanswered points and end up losing. To me, that is choking.

So then that falls on Saban.  I have a small hunch that a legendary coach like Saban would not let his players shit the bed in the Sugar Bowl (a BCS Bowl game) especially against an "inferior" team from a non BCS conference.

This is still setting up excuses.  Can not have it both ways.

You are right.. no way on Earth a SEC team could lose a BCS bowl game in New Orleans to a better team..

Question- if Oregon beat Auburn LY, would you have the same argument?  Because clearly last year's Title game was the most important game in Oregon's history..

you cannot make that comparrison, because Auburn and Oregon were in the title game, therefore their would be no reason to say that if Auburn lost, they done so because they didn't want to be there

If Auburn had lost in the SEC Championship, it is a possibility that they would lose to whomever they had in the upcoming bowl game, just from the emotional let down of their magical season coming up short. Listen, I am not saying that will always happen, depending how well Chizik and his coaching staff would have handled the situation whether he could have gotten his kids ready to play. One thing for sure, Saban didn't.

To anyone else, who doesn't follow a certain team, go to their practices, read every article written, watch the interviews, talk to friends and the moms and dads of these players, listen to the weekly coaches press conference.... you wouldn't know how the team responds, but the people who do, can tell you , and it is as plain as the nose on your face that Bama came out of the lockerroom already beaten.

No excuse, coaching the players, getting them ready mentally is also part of the game, to which Alabama failed miserably.

Utah may have beat Alabama handily that game but let's call it out for what is was...there was no chance in hell Alabama was showing up for that game. NONE. That game was one of my Top 3 college football wins of all-time. As a situational bettor it was an absolutely dream scenario with a very young team that had overachieved all year and then faced a devastating loss to go from a potential national championship to facing a non-BCS school. And as someone said that was the biggest game ever for Utah.

That game had nothing to do with conference strengths or anything of that nature. One team was simply extremely fired up and ready to make a point while the other was still distraught and could not care less.

Biggest game in Utah history?  Didn't Alex Smith lead them to an undefeated season in 2004?  I think thats what sent Urban Meyer to Florida.

There also was disappointment among the team with Alabama having to suspend Andre Smith who allowed (1) sack in (334) plays.

I know one player don't make a team, i had a bad feeling that game when Saban suspended Smith. That right there shows people Saban don't cut no slack....Sugar Bowl or not.

But you can bet, this was great news for Utah as they took advantage of the left side of the Alabama OL with his absence.

    Nice straw man.

And what part of this are you having trouble understanding? Alabama wanted no part of that sugar bowl. They were one quarter away from playing in the national championship, they blew it, and their consolation prize was a bowl game against a non-BCS opponent.

Auburn, on the other hand, was playing in the national championship game.

I realize you aren’t the sharpest knife in the drawer, but surely even you can see the difference.

You posted “Question- if Oregon beat Auburn LY, would you have the same argument?  Because clearly last year's Title game was the most important game in Oregon's history..”

I then answered your question by trying to explain to your feeble mind that it wasn’t the same thing because Alabama didn’t want to be in their bowl game and Auburn, obviously, wanted to be in the BCS championship game.

Your response was simply: “I can surely see you are still giving excuses for why Alabama lost that day.”

I seriously hope for your sake this “I am confused and don’t know what you’re talking about” routine is just an act because if it’s not…wow.

I see where some are defending Alabama for losing to Utah back in 2008...

Look guys, you cant have your cake and your cookie too. If Alabama wins that game the you guys will say that......well, its the SEC. They had no business playing us in the first place. But if you lose, then it's..........Well, we dont care about that game. The national championship is all we cared about. WRONG,WRONG, WRONG, and WRONG.

I acknowledge that the SEC has been dominate for several season now... But some of you need you heads checked...

The defensive front seven are to big, fast and athletic for all the step sisters who come into the NC game for them to handle. The front seven dominates and thus they dominate the game.

    This ^^^^^^

The SEC is loaded with athletic freaks on the d-line which is like no other conference.

Boom, I am an objective, situational bettor that does not give a crap about conferences or any of that mumbo-jumbo. There was a very strong chance Alabama was not going to show up for that game. I had a very strong opinion about that and won big. It wasn't the wrong analysis, it was the right analysis.

Maybe Utah would have beat Alabama had the Tide given a shit but they didn't give a shit, they were a bunch of disheartened kids who had been #1 all year and pissed away a shot at a national championship to play a school down on the totem pole (in their eyes). It was one of the biggest letdown spots of the last few years, while it was a big step-up game for those Utah kids.

Again, this is coming from an objective bettor who does not give a crap about what team a conference comes from.

No I understand what you are saying and that is a valid point (in terms of Auburn wanting to be there as well)

However, you still continued to give an excuse as to why Alabama lost that game..

Situation or not, Bama got their ass handed to them and please stop making excuses as to why they lost that game..
