@Jr - I agree with the last sentence. That's all we need it to be...is close..

@Double - Buffalo might turn out to be better than expected but my comment was more about the spot Penn State was in as a 21 pt favorite after getting embarrassed by Temple. In that spot Buffalo should have gotten destroyed.

Typical 3 star pick. (and that's out of 5 stars ) . Too many backdoor opportunities here with a huge home line. Temple could have easily lost that game last week. Just several game changers sent it there way. To their credit the made the plays. But if they came here 1-1, this line is likely around +7 UMass. I'll gladly take the extra 6.5.

Bol , but the Temple D is where this game will be won. I fully expect UMass to put up less than 17 points.....might be enough to cover.....

@Train - True the Temple D been impressive. But even at 17, Temple has to score 31. PJ Walker is a facilitator and if UMass can keep the run reasonable, we cover.

@Cov - I know what you mean about getting it at 10. Line opened at 9, jumped to 13, went back to 10/10.5 and now is up to 13.5 (and even 14 on some books). Didn't expect it to skyrocket back up!

This may be the one thing on this planet that we agree on. Nice work.

Only hitch for me is that when perennial speedbumps like Temple end up laying a huge number on the road, then more often than not somebody knows something.

@Big - Well think, they opened at 9. The  books knew they were compensating for what is, in  my life, one of the most hyped teams Temple has ever had in their dismal history. And this is after TWO WEEKS.

So we get in at 13.5? That covers 10/11/13 just for waiting out an already inflated number! I'll take the points at home every time!

Rutgers has too much turmoil. They could turn all that turmoil into a cover or get blown out. One thing is for certain, Penn State is not very good.

Why pick a Temple@UMass side? Because Jersey is actually 3 separate states to the people who live here. North Jersey, Central Jersey and South Jersey. As you go further South, it's more Eagles/Penn State country with coverage of Temple so I do know Penn State and Temple as well as Rutgers. 

We are going with the home dog in UMass here at +13.5. 


scal, I only read your first two posts...have you taken in consideration that umass completely blows..i'm from mass and my daughter attends umass and the local write is they made the bottom twenty five as one of the worst teams in the country...I could have had temple at -10 , but foolish me was waiting for -9.5...what the hell was I thinking...then It went to 11 then 13 and I'm not gonna even look where it's at now...I'm just gonna lay off..good luck, I hope you win
