DECIDED TO GO BACK TO MY ORIGINAL PHILOSOPHY OF PLAYING ONLY ABOUT 5 GAMES A WEEK IN COLLEGE INSTEAD OF TEN AND LIKE OLD TIMES I CAME OUT A WINNER.
THURSDAY NIGHT:
This will not be a very popular play however the California Bears at home getting points on homecoming to the poorly coached USC Trojans is a steal!! Cal the last few years has had top 20 recruiting classes and the talent level difference between USC and Cal is close. You couple this with the fact that USC is coached by the horrible Lane KiffIn and the Golden Bears will be victorious Thursday night. Alot of people dont realize that Cal QB Zach Maynard got injured against the Ducks last week and was having a hard time making plays due to a quad contusion. Reports are that he has healed up 100% and will be back on the field on Thursday. Check this out....
Junior California quarterback Zach Maynard would not admit it, and would not use it as an excuse, but, according to head coach Jeff Tedford, the Bears' signal-caller was suffering from a quad contusion during last week's 43-15 loss to No. 9 Oregon.
"He had a quad bruise, early in the game," Tedford said on Monday.
When asked if the contusion could have hindered Maynard's ability to use his legs to gain yards or to push off on short swing passes, Tedford said that it indeed could have.
Maynard's brother Keenan Allen -- who caught nine passes for a game-high 170 yards - said that he knew his older sibling was hurting, and tried to help pull him through.
"He had a little contusion, and said he couldn't throw off his back foot," Allen said. "That's why his passes were off. We just had to make the best of it. He definitely wanted to fight through it and help us out. He knew if he stayed out there, he felt like he still [was] a great asset to the team, even with the leg hurting, he was going to come out there and give it a fight. We had his back the whole way, so we were still trying to make plays.
"I definitely expect the most out of Zach this game, coming off the last game. I'm always going to expect a lot from him because he's my brother, but as far as the offense, we've got to put points on the board and help our defense."
This week, Maynard is healing and ready to go. The reason he did not finish out last week's contest was due to a hit that he took that left him "fuzzy."
It was a tale of two halves for the Bears last week. The first half Cal was moving the football on offense and keeping the Quacks explosive offense off the field and out of sync. Second Half as everyone knows that didnt happen. Maynard continued to miss easy passes and was unable to make plays due to the injury. This is a recipe for disaster against the Ducks as they are a rythym offense. Once they start scoring and getting the ball frequently they dont stop. The key to beating the Ducks is keeping their offense off the field and out of sync which like I said Cal did in the first half of the game. Dont be fooled folks Cal is a very good football team. On offense they have the best WR duo in the country in Marvin Jones and Keenan Allen. These guys can score from anywhere on the field and so far Cal QB Maynard has proved (before the disastrous second half against Oregon) that he can get them the ball. This is not good news for one of the worst secondaries in the nation. Here's something I clipped out of an article for you all to read....

For all USC's firepower through the air on offense, the Trojans leave a lot to be desired when defending the pass.
USC has had problems both pressuring the passer (10 sacks, seventh in the Pac-12) and in covering big receivers like Arizona's 6-foot-4, 220-pound Dan Buckner (6 catches, 88 yards), Arizona State's 6-foot-4, 211-pound Mike Willie (4 catches, 44 yards) and Utah's 6-foot-1, 200-pound DeVonte Christopher (11 catches, 136 yards).
The Trojans rank last in the conference in turnover margin with three picks and two fumbles recovered. Over the past two games, USC has surrendered 84 points, with six touchdowns coming by way of the pass, five on the ground and one coming on a 41-yard interception return by the Sun Devils' Shelly Lyons.
Despite having a former five-star recruit in junior safety T.J. McDonald and four former high-four star recruits in junior safety Jawanza Starling and sophomore cornerbacks Torin Harris and Nickell Robey, the Trojans rank 98th in the country in passing defense, allowing 267.2 yards per game through the air (1,336 total), 10 touchdowns and an opponents' completion percentage of 66.15.
USC is ninth in the Pac-12 in passing defense, eighth in passing efficiency defense with opposing QBs posting a 137.6 rating, and boasts not a single player in the Pac-12's top 20 in passes defended.
Cal WR Allen is averaging 17.1 yards per catch (second in the conference), ranking 11th in the nation in receptions per game (7.8), fifth in receiving yards (668) and 25th in touchdown grabs (four).
The Bears are 26th in the nation in total offense and fourth in the Pac-12, averaging 458.0 yards per game. Cal is fifth in the league in scoring offense (34.6 points per game) and the Bears' passing offense ranks fourth in the Pac-12 with 300.4 yards per game, while USC is sixth in scoring defense, allowing 26.4 points per game.
Across from Allen, senior Marvin Jones is 45th in the country and fifth in the Pac-12 in catches per game (5.8). With 441 total receiving yards, the Cal receiving corps' elder statesman ranks fifth in the conference with 88.2 yards per game.
Of the Bears' 116 first downs this season (23.2 per game, seventh in the Pac-12), 63 (54.3 percent) have come through the air. Eerily enough, the Trojans have allowed 116 first downs (23.2 per game, ninth in the conference) with 76 of those (65.5 percent) coming via the pass.
Cal will exploit this huge weakness of the Trojans on Thursday.
In reference to the Cal D. It isnt as bad as it showed against Oregon they are ranked 53th in the nation in total defense however they have generated 15 sacks tied for 5th in the nation. They also win the turnover margin battle with USC where Cal ranks 29th in the nation where USC ranks a horrid 104th. This will come in handie for Cal on Thursday night.
I will be backing the Bears in this one for my biggest play of the year as they have the better coach, the better defense, they will be playing at home at Candlestick in front of their fans and they also have revenge on their mind as they got waxed in last years contest between the two 48-14. Cal bounces back in this one and I will cash my biggest play of the year!!

Not sure what point you're trying to make? I was simply saying that you were wrong in saying that no one has picked USC. I guess you're saying that just because they are picking USC, and they have made wrong picks in the past they are wrong about this pick?
This would go alot easier if you would back up anything you're saying with a solid fact. So far your gibberish is just making you look stupid.

My point is I don't really care what anyone picks except 3 or 4 people and none of them are on your amazing list.

Don't really know if I like anybody in this game. You're right, USC is poorly coached. I can't figure out how Lane Kiffin is so highly regarded. On the other hand, you have Tedford with all of fhis top 20 recruiting classes. His teams are always highly regarded. But they seem to always fold in every meaningful game about this time of the season.

The WRs on both sides will give trouble to each secondary. Over play looks solid
Over is 4-0 in Golden Bears last 4 games on grass.
Over is 4-1 in Golden Bears last 5 Thursday games.
Also, the passing offenses of each team, have an advantage over the passing defenses of each team. And the rushing defenses have an advantage over the rushing offenses... Stop the run, pass pass pass.

AS ALWAYS FEEL FREE TO COMMENT AND PROVIDE VALUABLE INSIGHT........
Throw in the home stat trend for Thursday day games which and don't quote me on this but I think its like 42-22 or something down those lines...
Wait till kick off thursday...public is pounding the Sh*t outta USC.
I use 4 various algorithm formula's that are calculated on a software I use. Its been hitting 75% on games they are are in aggreement with and over all hitting 58 to 65% on all games selected for that weekend which range from 8 to 29 games if they fit the criteria.
Two games circled for thursday Cal Bears (4-0) and SD St (3-1).
I've been quietly waiting this game brother and I have a spread win of a TD SU for Bears that evening. I see this like +3.5 by kickoff. I will have a big play on the spread and a little on the ML for this one...
Only thing USC has going is they have been prepairing for two weeks now on the bye.
How many units you have on this one? my standard unit is 1 but for GOW its 2.5 units, GOM is 4 units....GOM is Mich St this week...
BOL brother....I'll will be riding the one for sure....

i was actually thinking the same thing.. i've seen more on USC.. NOT that that means USC will win, just simply i've seen many USC plays. USC has traditionally owned Cal, but this MAY be the year Cal takes this one...?
