this is my official play thread, I had another one, but after more and more research I opted to get out of some other plays, I bet early often for the first week of the season to get the best lines, I am done with early wagering for now and will sit back and watch lines, I am already eyeing a few mathups for week 2 that look enticing
UNLV - 9 (1)
South Carolina - 28 (1)
LSU - 16 (1)
3's a charm
Best of Luck

I'm not seeing it at -28, I bet it and posted it when it opened at -28, it has since moved to 29.5, however, I have a wager at -28, I hope that clears things up for you

I can't find one... which scares the hell out of me as far as playing it... look at their recent success against MSU.... last 6 years they outscored them 250-43 .
MSU should be better offensively (how could it not be?), but their defense will be worse, and that makes them just as bad as last year, in my book. I think LSU shuts them out and puts up about 30 points of their own.
So why is the line so low?

What reason is there NOT to play LSU?

When you say 'get out of some of the plays', do you have a offshore book or local that let's you cancel or just play the opposite and eat the juice?
Placing bets very early this time of year or on Sunday nights in week 2 and beyond, I usually have 2 or 3 games a year (such as sudden key injury or news) that I have to take the offset play eat the juice since the greek will not allow me to cancel, so if there's a better way I could save a little cash. Appreciate any info.

Wahoo, nice ticket. If you don't mind me asking

no problem at all bro, in the past I have always used offshore books and a couple of private books (locals) until the issues with pinnacle last year, with my offshore accounts I would have to bet the other way to get out of the bet and lose juice if the line was the exact same, this year I am using 2 locals, one of them gives me -105 juice on every bet and as long as there are odds posted in a sportsbook somewhere on the net, then he will let me bet them as a please, with the three games I got out of I had bet Wis -14, Uconn -5.5, W.Mich +23, those lines moved in my favor and I could have bet Wash +14.5, Duke +6, W. Virg -23 (I would have a chance of winning some money on a push with those particular cases if I were using an offshore account), but in this case my local just let me scratch the wagers, I would have got out of them if I were using offshore anyhow by sacrificing the juice, after more research I didn't like the plays enough to make a wager and I don't just bet to bet in college football, this is a sport where I have been very successful so I only take games where I feel like the odds are in my favor, the 3 games that I posted above are my favorite 3 thus far, I like all 3 of them to cover by a touchdown or more

for some reason I don't think that line is going to go up much Adam and if I do decide to take that game I think the oppurtunity will still be there at a later date, good to see you around my friend

Thanks for the info - makes sense. Not having a local anymore I miss those days sometimes.
Like the fact that you kept LSU and SC as I'm biased towards those for my own reasons. Good philosophy on sticking with only those you like the most. I'll even pay $25-30 juice if I have to a few times a year if I have to. GL on the ticket.

you will not see me get out of many wagers ever, but I was trying to steal some early value on these lines, I actually caught myself getting too excited about the season and being a degenerategenerally when the season starts I make my wagers on Tues, Wed and Thurs, I hardly ever bet a game on Saturday, I'm all about what line I can get, I don't pay attention to favorites, underdogs, public plays, fades, sharp money, etc. I simply play what fits my eye if I can get the line I like

I think the Hoos will win the game, not sure about the line, it is a little higher than I projected, however, you will rarely see me bet on or against UVA, I try to keep feelings out of gambling, every now and then I see something I can't pass up though, I don't think I will play Virginia here, but we have alot of time before the season gets kicked off, I think that line will drop some before the game or on the day of the game, it should finish at -3 or so

Yeah I know the feeling, when those numbers went up a couple days earlier than expected I had to try to take a step back for a second and then decided (stupidly as it turns out) that Texas and LSU lines were more likely to move up quickly than SC and ended up not getting it 28, although still took it at 29.5 since it was still a play based on predicted score versus number.

Thanks for the info, I used to have betcris (now bookmaker) although took all my money out although I could probably do a book to book transfer. Too much work for a point - this way I can complain when game comes up 42-13.

Like the plays Wahoo. I think I may have to go the local route also. You don't by any chance live in Southern California? If I can't find a local this year I'm gonna have my friend betting for me in Vegas. He can still call plays in legally in the Vegas area. Still a pain in the ass.
