my bet vs. current line
UNLV -9 / UNLV - 7.........I clearly was wrong here betting early
LSU -16 / LSU - 17..........I made the right choice here
SCaro - 28/ SCaro 29.5.......I made the right choice here
Iowa - 11 / Iowa - 11.5.........could have got in at 10.5, shouldn't matter
KState + 14 / KState + 13.5.......bought the hook here, line is same
Mizzou - 5.5 / Mizzou - 5.5........could have got - 4, waited too long
I think to bet early you have to have experience in watching line moves, it doesn't mean that I will always be right for sure as shown in the UNLV line, but sometimes I just bet when I'm happy with a line and don't even worry about line movement, I generally bet early when I'm going to bet a favorite, I will wait until the day of the game many times when I'm betting a dog because more times than not, the line will move toward the favorite in college football, as far as betting favorites and dogs goes, I used to only bet dogs and every now and then I might take a favorite (back in the day), now I feel more experienced than ever and the one thing I have learned is to just take what I like and don't worry about line movement, how others are betting, etc.
generally line movement on a game will not even come into play, but on that rare occasion that it does is when it will come down to making the right decision, I'm like everyone else as far as betting goes, I'm still learning each year, the only difference for me for college football versus the other sports is I feel like I know for sure I'm going to win money before the season starts, I think there are many guys around here that we all can learn from, discipline is my key to success, you will never see me bet 15 games in one week and I only sway from my average bet less than 20 times a season, I will end up with between 75-100 plays for the year and about 15 of them will end up being "large" money (3 units), I set a goal for myself and I stick to my plan and it seems to work well for me, hopefull this season is the same
always enjoy your insight and I sure hope we kick the books ass this year my friend, best of luck

Oops. Premature postulation. I meant to ask if there is anything else you are considering?
Miami Oh @ Ball State
Utah @ Oregon State
Tulsa @ ULMonroe
Navy @ Temple
Houston @ Oregon
New Mex @ UTEP
Texas Tech @ SMU
I may not bet another game or I could bet 4 or 5 more depending on what I find or what my gut feel is

as far as betting 1 or 2 games in college basketball, your right, that is how I usually do it, but that is because there are games on every night, with college football and the NFL I don't have a system, but I do try to limit my plays as much as possible, some guys like betting more games, some like betting less games, we all do it differently I suppose, but like I said I don't exactly have a system, I just bet what I like, best of luck this season

Let me know if your conclusions are any different, and yes I am granting that we are still 9 days out and many many things could change and transpire.
You might have just given up on any easy winner in the Tigers. The flip side to that coin is if you had kept that ticket and Williams scored a 40 yard broken play and backdoored you, you would have never been able to forgive yourself.
GL again.
as far as the matchups go I agree with all of them at first glance except for the Tulsa game, I would be on the Golden Hurricane there or pass
