I actually think Houston looked good. Oak still has no defense

I'm playing against Maryland next weekend

yes the transfer QB at Mizzu is awful

West Virginia will have a tough season

For Houston, yeah I thought they did fine after the early hiccups.  Nothing wrong with scoring 31 points in 3 quarters

I think the reason ESPN loves the SEC is because they’ve had more teams as Natty contenders than any other conf over the past decade.. Bama, Auburn, LSU, Georgia and now Jimbo comes to A&M.. You may hate the SEC, and the SEC does have some shetty teams that can be beaten by Ga state.. BUT, it’s still the best Conf in CFB.

As for Tua, dude looked sharp as a tack. He missed 4 throws I think? Only 2 that were uncatchable.. His weakness is trying to make a play instead of throwing it away.. Bama OL is not ready to play an Elite defense right now.. it’s a new group and had Tua dodging sacks all 1st Q.. and Bama defense playing 2 true freshmen ILB would be a dream for Georgia and Clemson right now.. hopefully those groups will get better and we see another Bama vs Clemson classic like a few yrs ago. I’d watch out for LSU this year. That defense will be flat nasty and offense looks decent.. we will see this weekend vs Texas?

I get the love for them no doubt, they are good for ratings.  But you have Missouri come in from the Big12 and win the East right away twice I believe and another Big12 team Texas A&M has been fairly consistent and more than competitive.  It's all about the perception of greatness that they are given but hasn't been totally earned.  Remember, if ask an SEC fan after one of their teams loses their bowl game, it's because 'they didn't care'

Yeah, it sounds like you got bit by the Hater Bug brother. It’s rampant outside of the south. I hope Clemson can roll off 5 nattys in a row so this hate flows to them and the ACC. Lol

Lol. I dont think its hate.....its annoyance. Yes, they are the best conference with loads of talent.....but, all ESPN does is talk about them....even when they arent doing well. I think all real college football fans can leave homerism at the door and enjoy good football.

Not one bit... It's not the SEC's fault that the Pac12 can't put a decent team into the playoff.   Oklahoma and Notre Dame have had chances but come up plenty short.   I was the first person here on Covers to have a Georgia to win NC at 31-1 2 years ago after I saw them play 1 week.  

You proved my point though... if you question the mighty SEC you are instantly a hater

I don’t get the hate / annoyance or any of it? Clemson is the best team in CFB and that’s all we here about on espn. And I agree with them! When USC, Texas,FSU, Miami, Oklahoma, Ohio St was all the cream at the top, I agreed. 

Now it’s different, the best athletes come out of the south in large quantities. Georgia, Florida, Texas, and California rule the recruiting landscape for athletes. The SEC gets a large percentage of those and the league has been successful for it. If ESPN is talking about them, and it annoys people, then Hate on ESPN, not the shitty team that lost to Ga St and make them the poster child for the SEC. LOL

That’s like me hating on a loud baseball parent in the stands and then  laughing when his kid gets hit by a pitch. It’s not the kids fault his dad is a loud mouth turd.

I know you are a good dude and I read your post all the time. My boy WahooS has a little SEC hater in him too. I just always thought it was the rednecks from the South that rubbed ya the wrong way? But it seems to be ESPN?  Didn’t mean to clog up your thread with this. So, what’s your thoughts on LSU vs TEXAS?

Been Off The Grid for last two weeks, WWAAAAHHHHHH!!!

Did have Direct TV for last weekend, thank GOD! No internet, no phone!!!

Nebraska; Just as I had hoped, keep playing like that and my RSW Total of Under 8.5 wins.

Michigan; Sloppy on both sides of the ball, typical game 1 for the maize and blue.

Ohio State; A swiss watch in quarter #1, a Casio for the rest of the game. Still impressive.

Michigan State; Can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear. That offensive line a big weakness.

Bad news for LSU is that instead of the guaranteed bye week to prepare for Bama, they get Auburn before. IF they can make it through that schedule? They deserve to be in. 

Bama always gets lucky with their schedule when they have players that need game time experience,  they get Arkansas, then a bye, then LSU. That is the ONLY reason I think they will beat them. 

Auburn has 8 SEC games in a row as well, 8! But they do get a cupcake before Bama. 

Looking like Bama Ga again.

All good my friend.   I love my rednecks...  even good friends with a Georgia boy now and he even laughs at some of the stuff that gets said by national media.

I like LSU... heard Texas has major depth issues at RB.  Ellinger could get beat up if he has to handle the rushing load

You're right...   and they are usually solid in these OOC games.  I have a future on Ohio to win the conference. Good test with Pitt this week who looked like poop.  

I did watch some Fun Belt with SMU vs Arkansas St.  The Arky St homer announcers were as expected, and sounded like they were broadcasting from inside a tin can
