I guess I will be the first man to come forward. WHAT, you go tout. HA HA. I kept a record of your games last year. Week 1-5 44-39. Week 6-9, ready 16-36. So after 9 weeks you were, 60-75. Then you dissappeared. I don't care what you did when you came back. You took your ball and went home. Are you going to do that when you go tout. I would bet yes on that.

There is always a narrative to support either side in any match up.  That's what makes markets.

But there is no way to quantify a narrative.  Narratives are inherently subjective and easily susceptible to wrong interpretation.

These days, I prefer to cap using game simulations playing a game 1000's of time until a pattern emerges.  

I also like to look at Bill Connelly's S&P + numbers but frankly, they are not that great for handicapping since they are basically descriptive and not predictive.

I also use contrarian strategies but "fading the public" and "reverse line movements" are not that great these days as some of you may have noticed.   Fade the models built by the academic types and you will tend to win more than you lose.

Learn to do your own capping and don't use the stuff you read about in the books.  If you read about it, that means it is probably a losing 50/50 proposition.  Find your own stuff and keep your mouth shut about what you find.

Glad to see you were able to retrieve BA's won loss record.

I also asked for a confirmation of his w/l record as did Longhorn Hoosier.  So far?  Nada.

Seems like a reasonable request.  A guy who is generally well respected is now selling his picks.

We ask for confirmation of his results.  No reply.   No response.

It reminds me of shopping for clothes on Amazon but with a no return policy.   Caveat Emptor.  Buyer beware

Longhornhoosier, upsdriver, combato are just the start of what is going to be coming ..... who are here for no other reason than to question you, torment you, antagonize you out of jealousy, or mental illness, or this is there way to try to get attention. What is hilarious is 2 out of the 3 I mentioned are rookies, or they have created new handles. How can we ever forget all the abuse this types gave Boom. Anyone who has the time or the desire to go back to review a years postings has a serious mental issues. 

Might want to consider calling your close personal friend from across the street BigQueenQH to cover over here to take care of your light work, as no one in this world can do it better. He has all the resources and tools to bury these naysayers of yours. 

WTF are you talking about...I have been here for over a decade and Combato was a former signficant contributor.   BA is going tout.  I have wished him well earlier in the string.   I personally like him, though we may sometimes disagree.   Yet, you attack a new poster for asking an honest question (sure I guess it could be a previous poster) and Combato and me, and why?    Is posting the truth too difficult for an anonymous Covers Football personality who prides himself on being all knowing, while he  convey how dumb the rest of us are...If he wants us to consider buying picks from him and the other Covers touts, then he should be honest and humble and transparent with the forum.    His initial post, now that he has indeed gone over to the Covers Death Star, is that somehow, its now cool for otherwise good cappers who do their homework to pay for picks...Yet, I have always heard that buying picks is a chump's purchase, for the action junkies who are too lazy to do their homework...that these touts, who pick a lot of games, will not disclose their true long term record, and at worst, advise both sides of a pick...Maybe BA will be an honest tout...If so, why not come back, acknowledge that he had a bad run, convey that we are human and that's the way things sometimes go when it comes to capping, and to watch his picks during the season, and if his market thinks that paying BA and Covers $25 to validate a pick may be worth it, then so be it.  Its free will.   If BA has nothing to hide, and if he will be an effective professional capper tout, then why not come back, demonstrate humility, and ask his market to give him a chance.      There's no jealousy here, at least not from me and Combato...Just be honest with the forum, and everything will be ok...

Hey Mr. Sensitive LH learn to relax before your sensitivity kills you. It is sad how worked up you get at postings from people in cyberspace. I can promise you my friend bookieassassin will be back on this thread. Posting on Covers is not his life, and I can assure you he does not read this forum on a daily basis.

Your email was attacking and condescending, so I responded in kind.  Maybe next time, you should temper your tone.   

You are a trip. For one thing I have never sent you an email in my life.  Second of all, those who live in glass houses should not be throwing stones, and lastly you might want to take a serious look at your own postings, before analyzing the postings of others.

I will add one more thing in my response to you LH, you might want to consider getting some help in dealing with your sensitivity, as being so sensitive is not healthy. Relax, enjoy the variety of the posters on the forum, and quit being so sensitive in what others post, as you do not know these people anyway, so why let yourself get upset if a post directed at you is "attacking or condescending" as you put it.
