Couple thoughts on games....surprised you like FAU
Stockstill still at MTSU and they have 14 days of prep for this game which is a B2B Roadie for FAU. Also surprised to see the total drop like 6 points. MTSU OC Tony Franklin worked with Sonny Dykes at Cal so he knows his offense, will need to check weather.
Boise st - another team with 2 weeks to prepare for Wyoming game. Yes it is alot of points, but I think 2nd year DC Scottie Hazelton will be overwhelmed. He has a good pedigree but I think Boise rebounding from last week and being pissed off will be too much.
Utah - Also has 2 weeks off and they seem to be flying under the radar. I think they come out pissed as SHIIT. Also triple revenge here.
Nevada @ AF - Really tough B2B for NEvada flying to Ohio to get spanked and now have to deal with the service academy up in altitude. Public seems to be betting it down from 7.5 to 3.5 which I like. Last year Nevada lost by 3 in Jay Norvell's first year but this is the first time they've dealt with a B2B road situation. Like AF to get it done, Nevada will want to just get home.
Sparty is back at home after a tough stint- could see a beat down for them
TAMU - Back at home, shoul dbe a bounce back, however they have UK as a look ahead
Tex Tech - I don't really think they've been adequetely challenged up to this point,.WVU could smash them
Fresno/Toledo - Fresno should cover this easily. Toledo looked good last week but this is not only Toledo's FIRST road game, its a long one they need to travel to the WC for. Last year their first tough road game was at Miami (2nd road) where they got pounded 52-30 and brought back down to earth
Ole Piss game - They have a very experienced coaching staff on the defensive side of the ball. I'd lean towards taking the points, but my main concern is that this is their first road game. However, I think they''ll come out pumped up and give LSU a game much to people's surprise.
Oregon/Cal - Wilcox and staff are unreal. Smart smart guys. Cristobal, not so much. Giving Cal extra time/two weeks to prepare for this as well as making adjustments and having film from the Stanford game will be helpful. I think they slow this game down, slow Oregon down, and grind out a win here while keeping it low scoring.
SCAR-KY - Ok, love SCAR here. 4x revenge plus its an opportunity to sell Kentucky high since everyone is one their diiix. SCAR has been tested (GA) and their DC, Travaris Robinson was the DB coach and sometime DC while at FL from 2011-2014. Here are the scores from him his time at FL against KY:
2011: 48-10
2012: 38-0
2013: 24-7
2014: higher scoring but he was on his way out.
GOOD LUCK
