@MITM I don't think its a lock that Ohio state gets in. Had this been a close game, then possibly. But they got mashed in their own backyard and speaking of strength of schedule, Ohio State has played a trash schedule. TCU has played a much tougher schedule and is the first Big 12 team to go undefeated in quite some time. I would argue that TCU gets in as a one-loss team over Ohio state..... Not to mention, USC and TCU would be a dream scenario for the CFP. Every major conference would be represented with Georgia, TCU, Michigan, and USC.
That's funny. TCU really?? Dude, OSU might have lost at home, they lost to the #3 team in the country. It's not like they lost to an unranked team. Give me a break. OSU had a much tougher schedule than TCU did. Look it up. Sorry to say, OSU is a money machine for the NCAA. They will not want to see TCU in the college playoff game. When TCU loses to Kansas State, you will see TCU drop down to about 8 or 10. Good luck :)

so you are guaranteeing two upsets, based on what? Sure, its possible, but unlikely that both lose...If USC and/or TCU win, they are in...

TCU will not get in with a loss to KSU...and the same goes for USC in a loss to Utah...The committee will then select a one or two loss "non conference champion" over TCU and/or USC in that scenario...and that would be from only two options Ohio State and then Alabama..., as appropriate...

They lose, when they lose, to k-state, they are done. The committee knows exactly what they're doing by placing Ohio State #5 and bama#6 so those two teams can easily slide up

Question - If some how LSU were to upset Georgia (very unlikely, but everyone seems to think a Georgia win is a given)...Does a 3 loss LSU make the playoff? And if yes, would a one loss Georgia be in over TCU or USC?

@LonghornHoosier Sounds about right I have one question all those who are down on Bama comparative to the aforementioned prospective playoff teams Would Bama not be favored against anyone left on a neutral except Georgia? Money talks and I'd bet my entire roll that if it was their mortgage on the line they would not take TCU or USC or Michigan on the moneyline in that game.
Sure Bama would be favored over any of these teams except UGA. But being favored and winning are two different things. OU was favored in 11 games this season because of their brand, but only went 6-6. Everybody knows, including the committee, that Bama isn't as good this year as they have been in the past. But I don't care how many losses Bama has, I've always said and still believe that if there's ANY way the committee can get them in the Playoff they'll do it. I don't like it and I hate Bama, but that's what we're living with at the moment. I actually think there's a decent chance both USC and TCU lose this weekend and Bama and tOSU gets in over the Frogs. Much like how 11-1 TCU and Baylor got left out of the first college football playoff in 2014. They aren't the brand names they wanted so they were passed over for the bluebloods..

The Purdue/Mich game is intriguing. Not beyond the realm Oconnell goes off. Their aerial attack is no joke. That 16 looks quite fetching. All depends on Corum's availability
No need to outrun the bear...just the next slowest guy

Zero chance Bama gets in....They are struggling with a bad Auburn team...Getting run over on D...U want to make a statement to get in and u struggling with Auburn....This is like a loss for Bama...U needed to win by 40...
how was Alabama struggling with auburn?? Did we watch the same game??? Is 49 - 27 considered a team struggling with a team?? Alabama has a great chance to make the playoffs. After TCU and USC loses. Guess what? Alabama is in. First, USC loses Friday night, then Ohio state is in, then TCU loses, and Alabama is in. Imagine that?

@MuchoMoney You really think Bama would get smoked by anybody other than Georgia your smoking something bama was a couple pts away from being 12-0 and then ppl would be picking them to win it all I’ll say it again nobody had a shot in hell to beat Georgia out of the teams who are left in the playoffs
They were also a couple points away from being 8-4... This bad part is this was supposed to be one of the best Alabama teams ever, at least that's what we were told in the preseason.
Teams are always trying to poach Bama coordinators for head coaching jobs. The fact there is little to no buzz around Golding or O'Brien tells you all you need to know IMO.
