The other question I have about OSU is on the defensive side of the ball.  Any chance they load the box and say to the frosh, beat us in the air???  I know USC has some great WR's and OSU secondary is average, but if they load the box and SC decides to do play action, frosh is gonna have to make a quick decision.  So my keys for OSU victory would be taking some fucking risks for once.  Running spread the entire game and putting several in the box to stop the run.  Any thoughts????

I love your ideas. It makes sense. But does it make sense to Tressel.

I actually wouldnt mind if they stacked the line and asked Barkley to throw the ball. He'll do just fine. I understand he's a freshmen, but he's not normal. I think he's a robot.

If they stack the line, Damion Williams and McKnight go off!

Huge Buckeye Fan, and I am not betting this game.
 
I want the Buckeyes to win badly for the sake of the program, much less the Big 10, but I do not see any way in which they can step up from the Navy game and be ready to take on the horses that USC will be bringing in to the Shoe.  Simply stated, OSU is built to win the Big 10, and frankly no matter how well Michigan or Penn State played last week, I think the Buckeyes are still the team to beat this yr for the B10 BCS bid.
 
This is not the USC that slaughtered the Buckeyes last year, but I have a feeling that Pryor will be trying to do too much.

Although USC has lost a ton of talent, they are still USC.  Their 2nd and 3rd stringers would be starters on 80% of other teams.  
 "USC has a freshman QB, starting for first time" ... I trust Pete Carrol. (he knows what he is doing)   If he says to start him, he'll be just fine.

prediction USC 41
               OSU 30

I am a WHOOGE Big10 advocate, and this game is the opportunity for Ohio State to represent the Big10 in a possible Bowl match up. 
 
I have always said the Pac10 kills the Big10 in the Rose Bowl because of its location.  If The Trojans had to go to the BigHouse or HappyValley (or now the Horseshoe) to play the Rose Bowl, would they be so dominante?  I always thought NO WAY....  
 
If I was a hoping man, I would hope that the Buckeyes bring a little pride back to this cross conference match up........  But Im a betting man....  and my money is invested in Chalk.

Scratching the RV is a good idea.  My buddy is looking into the tickets so I hope to be there.

I just hope we can take of business at Minn (most likely a 9PST start) and at oregon...these games have me nervous.  We can win both, but both are interesting games.  If we happen to take care of biz this will be a battle of two top 5 teams.

USC is the fastest, most talented team OSU will play all year. If OSU cant stop Navys offense, what the hell makes you think they have a chance of stopping USC??

TP is talented, but nowhere near Vince Young.........

USC puts up 40 something points in a rout.....

OHIO ST HAS NO MAJOR PLAY MAKERS, AND THATS THE BOTTOM LINE. PRYOR ISNT A ELITE QB AND WHO CAN YOU HONESTLY SAY ON THAT OFFENSE IS A REAL GAME CHANGER? THIS GAME WILL BE A REPEAT OF LAST YEAR.

This looks like a sucker bet for USC players....
Well put me down in the sucker column too...
OSU will have to load the the box to have any chance to stop USC's powerhouse running game... Freshman QB or not; how you gonna stop play action which forces 1 on 1 with speedy WR's ???? Buckeyes just have to decide which way they want take their loss here...

I agree with what you're saying here too. I hate when everyone is on one side. Even REAL OSU fans are on USC. Makes me nervous.

OSU was looking ahead to this game, since that thrashing last year! they couldnt stop navy from running, but who can?! the problem was OSU's lack of respect(preperation for the pass) USC on the road w/ a true freshman qb, in the horshoe! tough, but i think the multitude of rbs USC has will get the job done, im stayin away from the game , there is money to be made elsewhere..ieND over Big Blue!, if a gun was held to my head, and i had to choose, at +7or+7.5 im taking OSU to keep it close but lose the game! its not about who wins its about who covers and who dont!

Ohio state has not lost by more than 10 points at home in the last 15 years.  I think Illinois with Simeon Rice might have beat them good.  I don't have time to do the research, but they have played a national champ and a few BCS teams and not lost by more than 10 points.  I think it is even lower.  So you think a team in their rebuilding year on defense is gonna waltz into the shoe in front of 105k people with a freshman QB and rout them.  They might win, but the points look nice here.

See last year. The same shit happened. People, like yourself, wanted to use the looking ahead card when they looked pitiful against OHIO. How did that theory turn out?
