I already have my lines for this one but the weather info makes me a bit gun shy on playing on SDSU.

A lot of field goals in this one.

under the spread 1st half and entire game.  As long as SDS can defend the run they should win.  Navy running game could burn up the clock and the defense will play at a high level to keep them out of the end zone.

Navy SU and the Under buying just 3 points for the low side of 60.5 points. Both with Stanford SU. (1u each)

     While Brady Hoke is a fine coach, who has the Aztecs pointed in the right direction, this is only the mans' 2nd season at San Diego State.  This is the Aztecs 1st bowl appearance (or at vleast in the last 6 seasons) ever!  And we all know how that goes, boys and girls-now don't we! Hell ,it's an honor for them to be asked to  "the dance". While, I admit that Navy has had a slightly softer schedule, they still managed to do what they had to. As I see it this will be a very close contest. I give the Midshipmen a slight edge, as well as an edge up in bowl performance over the last 6 years of 5 - 1  (83%-ATS). I consider getting the points a bonus.

Well a lot of my covers brothers are mixed on this one so good luck to all of them ...Was a hard and not solid decision for me but just figured I would stick with the favs here. I know the weather favors the stronger running game. I was also worried on how Boise St's passing game started off flat last night and how it might be the same way here for SDSU in even tougher weather.

I'm just hoping that SDSU will use their advantage in size on their o-line to hold off the Navy defenders just long enough to find a rhythm in their passing game early. Also hoping that the speed of the Navy defenders will be a disadvantage in this weather on jumping routes...anyway just a wild guess practically but...

Thanks for the info  I feel a little better about my wager now...I could still be wrong but I can only blame myself and not the rain.

Watching the news, the radio guy on the field said the field condition is excellent, for what its worth.

Normally this game would be a no play for me but I like the conditions for tonights game, I think it strongly favors the passing team, San Diego St. It will be partly coudy tonight, no rain, and one of the soggiest sloppiest fields we have ever watched a football game played on. The ball will be dried before the center hikes it, so how does this disadvantage the passing team? The d-backs and the running backs are the ones that are going to be screwed with these conditions. Happy to see the line come down to that all important 3 number. San diego St -3.

Well, after further review.....the call has been reversed.  I can't go against Navy here.  Hell, they are the one with the boats in that lake in the middle of the field.  Hoke is my guy, he coached my alma mater and took them to a bowl game two years ago, but Navy is 5-1 ATS their last 6 bowl games.  They have been to like 8 in a row now???  SD St hasn't been to one anytime in the last 10 years.....I think Navy nows how to prepare, and has the triple option threat as an advantage on a very messy field.  Navy has lost the last three bowl games, but my a combined 14 points, so they have been in every one of those at the very end.  I will take the FG here.  GL all!

i dont post much..cause of all the dramma .plus i dont know most of you..but as a christmas bonus,,,take the state..vegas wants their money back on the boise game..and the public is all over navy.im also going with the under.thats your call though..merry christmas and a better new year

Bad field conditions favors the offense, see Pats vs Bears and Vikes vs Bears.  The ball will be dry as well. . .lol. 

Look for SDSU to capitalize through the air as Navy dbs will be guessing.

Lots of mud? Wet surface? While it seems likely that a running team might have an edge, consider that Navy's option offense consists of three, maybe four, players moving in a timed sequence.

With four players running in the mud, the chances of a slip or fall increases in these conditions. Just throwing the timing and footing aspect out to everyone.

I'm not familiar with SD, but Navy's running game probably won't take off as well as it would on a dry turf, especially turning the corners when the field will give out, too.

Total respect for Navy though, was tempted to take them as well.
