FROM MY PERSEPCTIVE, IF STANFORD HAD DESTROYED UCLA EARLIER IN THE SEASON LIKE THEY DID LAST WEEK, IF STANFORD SOMEONE HAD THE ROSE BOWL LOCKED UP (LIKEPRIOR TO THE C GAME FORMAT), I COULD SEE THE POTENTIAL FOR A LET DOWN...ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN...

HAVING PLAYED AT A HIGH LEVEL, IT SIMPLY DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY.  I COULD ONLY IMAGINE IF I WAS TOLD IN THE HUDDLE NOT TO TRY, MAN, THAT WOULD GET A GOOD LAUGH. . .

Inclement weather would favor the better running team. You can try to spread a defense out in the wind and rain, but I doubt UCLA will be able to throw it around effectively, and we all saw how effective UCLA is on the ground against the trees. UCLA can't play with this team in good weather in their own backyard. Two TE, Power I right, Power I left, Power I up UCLA'a behind.....

i hope you are being sarcastic...granted, it is integral, but, I am sure the resourceful Cardinal has an effective backup plan in place including probably several high school punters on the roster and at the very least, the Cardinal placekicker could do an effective job punting the ball...

I think Stanford will be just fine with regard to punting...

Which coach do u think had a easier time getting his team up for this game. Mora had to just go over game plan this week the motivationwas already built in. On the other hand Stanford gotta think this is a easy win after dominating the same team last week/ Good spot at over 8 points here..Tough to beat the same team by more than a TD twice in one week .Now weather conditions  neurtal ize both teams They still go to the Rose bowl winning this 27-21   Bruins keep it closer than that

for most other state or directional schools, your contention would hold water...this is standford...these guys are disciplined academic machines, and they are not out smoking weed and patting themselves on the back...they have business to finish...and they will come out on the Farm on a drizzly evening and "earn" their right to play in the precious Rose Bowl...
