You just have to figure that Bama is going to be bigger and stronger.  Should be able to push around Utah's defense and run the ball right down the field...with defense making big hits all day...I see Bama taking care of business -10

This one could get ugly -- I see Alabama running away with it.  They'll be primed and stoked and ready to "bear" down.   Utah might make a game of it for a half, not much longer.

I really enjoyed watching Alabama destroy teams this year.  That Glen Coffee is freak of nature.  Too bad about Florida.
 
I guess I get to watch 'em destroy one more team this year....maybe make a little money too.

Bama should roll if they want to be there.  Utah wants to be there, Bama may still be thinking about Miami.  If their head in on straight, they win...if not, upset special.  Will watch this one up until game time, then decide

Tulane with a 2-10 record             Kentucky with a 6-6 record

Mississippi at 8-4                        Tennessee at 5-7

LSU with a 7-5 record

Bama was a 29 pt fav vs. Tulane, 15 1/2 pt fav vs. Kentucky,

12 1/2 pt fav vs. Ole Miss, 5 pt. fav vs. Tennessee, and a -3 pt fav

vs. LSU.

Didn't cover against Tulane, Kentucky, Ole Miss, and barely covered against LSU (in overtime no less)....(only non-shitty team here is Ole Miss, the rest are horrendous)

They're a great team, but don't be fooled because they're in the SEC and the Utes are in the MWC.  Both will do battle and fight for a win in this game....

Okay, I admit I haven't watched any Utah games this year.  I am very familiar with their status as giant killers...kinda like UCLA in that way.  Benchmark win this year appears to be Oregon St...the BYU win doesn't impress me as much.
 
Otherwise there is nothing remarkable about any of their other wins.  I see 8-2 overs...does this mean the opponents scored more than they should've or Utah scored more?  (d/k)  Alabama apparently doesn't score enough, they are 4-9 o/u.
 
Alabama has the ATS edge with a 9-4 record.  Ole Miss and Florida are 1/2 of the missed covers.  Whereas the Utes are bowling over creampuffs for the most part, their 7-3-1 ATS record doesn't impress as much.
 
It's a good bowl matching good teams, but the Tide rolls here.

Don't let the Oregon State win fool you.  I watched the entire game...  Oregon State was the much better team and fluked itself out of a victory.  It's athletes on D were too much for the Utes, so think what the boys from 'Bama will do.  I like 'Bama -whatever

Gentlemen, BAMA has arguably the best coach in the nation, with a month to prepare for this game. Furthermore, I dont think that anyone can argue BAMA has better athletes than Utah. That said, everyone's cousin knows BAMA is the better team. Anyone else think that Vegas wants people to bet on the underdog just for the sake of betting on the underdog? I just can't see putting money on Utah here, any help?

Utah had a great year, but just like Alabama when they played Florida, the Utes are in over their head in this contest. The score can certainly be worse that what I predicted. Saban brings home the SUGAR.  I believe it was 1992 the last time the Tide won the Sugar Bowl. How sweet it will be.

Alabama #5 ranked defense.  Utah #23 defense.  Keys:  Offensive and defensive lines.  Edge to Alabama.  Can Utah get pressure on the QB and stop the run!?  Utah is 0-6 against SEC teams.  Sharp

On the teams that each have played this season that went to bowl games or are going .

Bamas average score 28 to 15, Utah 30 to 21

I think it will be a close game Utes might even win.

By speed you must be referring to how quickly the Utah defenders get pancaked by Bama's O-Line, right?

Seriously though, for those who might have been trapped under a rock for the last few days, All-American left tackle Andre Smith is OUT for this game and that is a HUGE loss for Bama.
