The big difference is the money is passed between the local and me and the web site only tracks the amount up or down. Certainly the web site and the local have some sort of revenue sharing agreement, but I have no idea what it is. All the betting is done on line and i have a lot of options, such as: Golf, Racing (horse,Nascar, Indy), Soccer, Tennis, Boxing, UFC etc If I want to call, I call the service not the local. I never bet with a on line sportsbook like 5 dimes, but it is set up very similiar I would imagine, but with a few less options and the way the money is transferred is much cleaner and easier.

Do you think he works for free? He keeps part of the juice you pay for his services. If you choose a solid online Sportsbook you will not have any withdrawal problems and a hell of a lot more betting options(including in the middle of the night) like Euro Tennis or Soccer. I doubt you will be calling your "LOCAL" at 4 am asking him what the spread is CSKA Mosow is...
I am not trying to put down anyone who bets through on-line books, just trying to understand if there are any benefits that I am not getting. Sounds like there are a few more options/live betting with a site like 5 dimes and you can shop lines. Other than that I do not see many benefits over what I have and I do not have as much to worry about the govt or the site seizing funds and all the worries about depositing and withdrawing.
