Why would anyone use an online book?

I am not a huge sports gambler and I use a local.  He contracts with a internet site (agent I guess you call him).  I am offered most lines: team totals, 1/2 times, soccer, UFC,  everything but live betting.  I pay him and he pays me directly (cash).  I was given 5K credit in my account, his money not mine. My juice may be a bit higher: baseball: -105, totals,5 inning -110, football: -110 totals 1/2 times and sides.  The less standard bets -115.

I have never used a online sportsbook and not as experienced as most of you, but am wondering why would anyone use one?  Seems like a lot of issues with getting paid, govt seizing funds, sportsbook stealing, sportsbooks being difficult, a lot of hassles funding and withdrawing, govt gaining access to your financial records, complaints about the service.  I dont see much advantage here and a lot of risk and hassle.

Why do you use an online book: is it the bonuses, reduced juice, more options, live betting, cant find a local?  With all the negativity I read about these online sportsbook, not sure why pepole use them, as I am very happy about my option. 

i never dealt witha local but u can drive ur ass to his place and pick up cash. oversea books you have to wait for you check to come in the mail. it takes atleast a week to a month

Because it's easier, that's why.  Maybe not for you, but for many people.

If they seize enough sportsbooks, people will use more locals.  It'll start a new crime wave, because the locals have to come from somewhere.  Maybe we can start up the mob dominance again lol

buxwin, many guys in this forum have talked about this, answering your question as to why it's better to bet online. However, you are definitely onto a good idea.....IF, as somebody already alluded to, you have a local with the options you have available to you. I don't, and I would venture to guess 90% of the guys here do not as well.

But, perhaps you've heard of this guy called Vanzack. He has stated that the days of getting good line value and multiple outs online and getting down with ease and transferring funds with little interference are LONG GONE. So your points are well taken.

can't speak for others but i've been stiffed 3 times by locals.

online may slow pay but locals straight out stiff you.

i live in los angeles, ca and have yet to meet a local who's not in the business of stiffing to make a living.

The more sportsbooks and poker sites are indicted, the more opportunites are created for the local bookie business to flourish.  Can the morons who run Federal & State Government read a book on Prohibition and figure it out?

With 500 LEGALIZED and TAXED lottery games..don't think we have numbers rackets anymore? 

Do you dabble in other minor illicit activities?  Marijuana, steroids, prostitution etc connections here can usually hook you up.  If not, sports bars are another good spot.  Look for the guy cheering and tense when the outcome of the game is determined, but totals, sides are still in play.

Doesn't Buxwin sound like a Fed with all those ?'s. Who's your local can we use him hook us up. Has to be some kickback for you considering all this business you can drum up. How do you know govt can seize our financial winnings from a online sportsbook every detail record. A sportsbook would give us up like that DAMN. Any experience with that MY MAN..
