THIS IS WHAT I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS...........
All right, I think I've made my decision. Read a few reviews for the LCR and also some feedback on the Bud's Gun Shop website (thanks again to StraightShooter for this recommendation as I will be purchasing the gun from them....rave reviews from users and solid pricing ). Appears to be universally accurate from 10 yards.....gets huge props for it's trigger mechanism (sounds like the double action trigger takes some getting used to, but people say it is consistently very smooth and easy to pull), super reliable, light, very easy to carry, and easy to pull. And a .38 packs more punch than a .380.

I appreciate the recommendation.
Happy to help.

I really want to buy the Glock, but I've been watching some youtube videos and even with a great IWB holster, I'm just not sure how much I'd be able to carry it much in the summer. And I'd hate to have a gun that I'd ever hesitate to carry due to size. At the same time, the LCR will not be as accurate as the Glock. I'm obviously leaning toward a gun that I will always be able to carry. I've seen clips that it is more accurate than you might think for the barrel length.
And I expect to practice a LOT. I got a little nervous when we did the shooting portion of the concealed carry course (everyone was watching). I was still plenty accurate, but if you're ever in a situtaion where you have to pull your gun for real, the stress will be off the charts. If you're not completely comfortable and very proficient with pulling and firing your gun, you have no chance.
Thanks again for everyone's input. Local gun shop has both the Glock and the LCR. Gonna look at them both this week and then order from Bud's.
Then you definitely made the right decision going with the LCR. IMO, the glock is the better overall weapon, but it won’t do you much good sitting at home when you need it. A .22 with you is better than a .45 at home.
I have a P3AT that I carry almost everywhere with me. I even carry it when I work out. Most of the time I forget it’s even there. Of course it (along with the LCR) is far from the ideal weapon you’d want if the SHTF, but it’s much better than nothing.

I have a Bersa .380 (which is really comfortable to shoot, but doesn't pack much punch). I'm hoping I might end up with a stable of 3: The LCR, the Glock, and the Bersa (cheap ammo for the range).
The reviews for the LCR say that it is actually pretty darn accurate for a tiny wheel gun. That has me encouraged. I expect to spend a lot of time with it at the range for sure.
My conceal and carry instructor had a P3AT (just as a prop...he brought a bunch of guns to talk about pros and cons of each). Nice gun for what it is.
I do not need to pack 15+ rounds in my gun to make me feel like a man. If you cannot resolve it in 6. Then you need more range time.
Agreed. You may not stop someone dead (ie. if they were on PCP or something). But at a minimum, you ought to be able to make it VERY difficult for that person to pursue you if you took off running.
Thanks fellas.

IMO, people should carry the biggest size gun with the most ammo they can comfortably conceal with whatever they are wearing at the time. I’ve never heard of anyone in gunfight saying afterwards that they wished they had a smaller gun.
Carrying a gun has nothing to do with dick size or feeling like a man. It has to do with giving yourself the best chance of coming out on top if, God forbid, you should have to use your weapon to defend yourself and/or your family.

“A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.”
It’s a beautiful thing.
As for how “fucked up” it is to carry at the gym: I wonder if any of these people wish they had carried a gun to the gym and had the knowledge of how to properly use it.

Just because you don’t take the protection of your family seriously doesn’t mean that others who do are dumb or do dumb things.
“if you are walking to the corner store and some scumbag decides hes going to rob you, what are the chances hes going to announce it first? odds ar hes going to walk up to you in a non threatening manner stick a gun in your face and demand EVERYTHING in your pocket, including your gun.”
What’s your point? Unless you are the Bruce Lee wannabe from the first page you give him whatever he wants in that situation.
What ignorant people don’t realize is that carrying a gun doesn’t mean you use it at the first sign of danger. It is simply another tool you can use to give yourself and your family the best chance of survival.
If someone has a gun pointed in your face and demands your wallet = give him your wallet.
If someone walking towards you pulls a knife 10+ yards away = pull your gun and take it from there.
Again, it’s just about giving yourself and your family the best chance of survival. Just because that might not be something you care about doesn’t mean others shouldn’t be allowed to protect their loved ones.

“Take it to the gym? Holy fuck are you kidding me?”
Nope. I am not. It’s perfectly legal. And I bet the people that got shot at LA Fitness (which I happen to work out at) wish they had exercised that right.
“What kind of country allows this?”
The greatest country in recorded history.
“Too many things can go wrong!”
Too many things can go wrong regardless of what you do. It’s all about giving yourself the best chance of survival.
“what if someone else finds it, someone robs your gym locker”
It would be kind of hard to find it in my locker and steal it when it’s in my pocket.
“it gets turned on you”
If I ever had to pull my gun at the gym it’s because of something like someone shooting up the place or someone coming at me with a knife. In either event someone talking my mouse gun from me isn’t exactly at the top of my list of concerns.
“then pulling it out your balls shrink”
It didn’t happen the first time. I don’t see why it would the second.
“mistakes happen like safety isn't on”
My mouse gun (and almost all of them) doesn’t have a safety.
