If it's done appropriately hand holding shouldn't be too big of a deal. Breeding for continued existence requires a lot more than that, that being said some people can be pretty horny devils.

I live in TN , I am from NYC born and bred, I moved here 2 1/2 yrs ago, and I can tell you this .. the people that run there mouth about all this god crap, are some of the most dishonest people in the world. They hide behind all this christ garbage , and think its ok to treat others like they are really GOD. They think they are above you becuase you do not believe. All this is coming from a so called " yankee" from a place where all the people are "really rude" (NYC) Well when people around here in TN talk to me about where I am from, then they go on about how they went to NY one time and everyone was rude. I stop them mid sentenence and tell them how they are not 2 faced and hide behind their religion , and I explain to them that i have met some of the worst backstabbing people since living in TN. Then I end it with a bang and tell them that after being down here fror 2 plus years , and seeing how so called "christians" act , it makes me not believe more and more ..
And about the snake guy that got bit , and died , he was the biggest idiot I have ever seen in my life .. What a moron.. That guy was from a the lowlife part of KY where they are so uneducated that they would worship fish if they were told to ... f**kin dopes.

Hilarious, a bunch of moral relativists commentating on peoples actions as wrong...
Proof that you cannot live out your Atheism.
You're ridiculous. What is wrong with moral relativism and how is that proof that one cannot live without their "atheism?"
If you had been born in India and grew up a Hindu, you would likely be a Hindu right now with completely different beliefs, no?
Or if you were born into an aborigine tribe with no contact to the outside world, you'd likely had embraced their religion, no?
I have about 4 friends that are "born again." I still discuss religion with them....there is no animosity at all. But in every one of their cases, they weren't out there seeking the "truth," they found something that filled a void in their life. EVERY single one of them said, "something was missing." They needed, "guidance."
Why is a person who does not feel this way suddenly the bad guy or gal?
Sorry my observations don't line up with the way you see the world and how God fits in.
The ability to live as a society of moral relativists is a sign of advancement if you ask me. I mean, think about it. Religion has been used to control the masses FOREVER. Do you really think in 1,000 years people will look back at the 1900's or 2000's and say, "you know, it took thousands and thousands of years, but they finally figured out the truth and what God really was and what He wanted for the masses?"
That's an awful lot of hubris on your part if you think that is going to be the case.

It happens on both ends of the political spectrum. I honestly encourage people to picket....protest....contact their government....make sure their voice is heard. NO problems here with that approach.
But these phonies who pretend the are absolutely committed to a cause make me laugh. He's completely on board until the overturn the decision....but once it gets postponed, it's time to order a large pizza.
Attention person.

Something else to think about: Back in the day, they used to drill holes in peoples' heads to let out the evil spirits to cure them of all sorts of "illnesses." Didn't they also burn witches at the stake?
Think about it.....what things are we doing now that seem perfectly "normal" that will be scoffed at by future generations as completely preposterous......or crazy?
Many walk around like it has been "figured out." Not even close.
