I never once claimed to speak for all Canadians

However, take a look at the history books. The medal standings order changed from being based on who had the most Gold medals, to who had the most total medals, when a group led by the USA complained that it should be by total medals.

13 gold is owning the podium to me.

If the shoe were on the other foot, and the Americans had more gold medals than anyone, and Canada was winning the total medal count, we'd never hear the end of how having golds means so much more than silvers and bronze.

Canada is proving they are the elite when it comes to winter sports

It's GOLD medals that count!!!  If a country had 40 bronze and never won a gold, would you say they won the Olympics???  NO!!!!  Remember second place is the first loser!!!!

It has been a great Olympics for both our countries. Wish Canadians best of luck in tomorrow's game. Gonna be a bunch of heart and pride left out on that ice tomorrow. United States and Canada.. two best countries!

Todays the big day!!!!!  They must of forgot that a Canadian also invented basketball as well!!!!   James Naismith was the Canadian physical education instructor who invented basketball in 1891.
