If guns were the answer to stopping crime, then there wouldn't be the huge difference in crime stats in the USA and Europe. The USA has the most guns and the most deaths from guns.

This guy was not charged.  But he could have easily been the one dead if the other guy had solid gun skills.  AND, there is no other witness to tell a different story so they pretty much have to believe his account. 

No matter the circumstances....if you kill someone, there is always the chance you could go to jail.  Stuff happens real quick when guns get pulled and you never know what could happen to you.

In Massachusetts a man was stealing tools out of another man's truck. The robber got caught red handed and had a knife and baton on his person. The victim ended up breaking the robbers jaw and is in trouble for defending his property....will probably do time. this happened recently in Swampscott, Ma.

As a result of the Ward Bird incident in NH it is legal to defend yourself and property. Check to see if your state accepts the Castle Doctrine.

Look, it you own a gun you only have two choices.
1) keep it handy for that day, you do have an intruder. If this is the case, you are infinitely more likely to shoot yourself or your kid or some other kid is going to shoot themselves (yes it happens all the time)
2) You lock it up. If this is the case, if you do have an intruder, it is useless anyways.

Common sense ain't so common.

Hank u need to lighten up bro.I believe in pepper spray..other options than shooting.I had one instance where I almost HAD to shoot a guy.9 out of 10 people prob would have.Ive never really been threaten besides that one scary time.I do like ur post..dont necessarily agree but iLL read ur next one.Btw,i prob would have done some time if i killed that guy.
