I go in November 9th, to start my 9 months. Tough day today, and its only going to getter tougher. Thank god for friends and family, without their support, I don't know how I'm going to do this.
I got 5 weeks to enjoy myself.
On the brightside of things the majority of your time will be done in the winter months. Winter months seem to move quicker inside then summer.

If you really dont think you can do the time, admit yourself into a rehab immediately, take steps to change your direction and try to set up another appeal. Show the judge you are wanting to go the other road. Volunteer to talk to kids about the dangers of drugs. Become a big brother in an org. Judge may show some leniancy(spelling?!) But if you talk to the kids dont be an asshole fake phony, they need better role models than Braylin Edwards and that monkey boxer. Be one! 9 months aint bad for 20lbs?! other advice get your damn med card (its now available in MI) and open a dispensary (legally sell pot) you can make just as much if not alot more $$$ and your doing a good thing for a lot of sick people (im just guessing your not selling to too many aids or cancer patients at the moment)
and send ol Debbie a sack
Debbie loves a fat sax!

In the scheme of things 9 months is nothing... do your time... learn your lesson... and move on
look I have served time in jail in the past and for this guy to say that 9 months is nothing is crazy, he has obviously never been their, you will most likey have to serve 6.5 to 7 months of your sentence and I am not going to lie to you man, that time will be in slow motion, it will seem more like 2 years, your personality is very important when you get in their, their are wolves and their are sheep, the key is what are you. you have to be able to read people, at first keep to yourself, but also stand strong, when you get their you will know what I mean, since you are a first timer you will have no problem getting a job, when I was inside I had a job in laundry, shorting things by size and shit like that, It really made the time go by much quicker, so your first day fill out the job form, trust me, also make sure you have money put into your account, so you can buy extra food from the cantein they don't feed you as much as the world thinks 3 medium sized meals per day is what you get so, deffinitly get some money in that account and get in shape man, I am a boxer soon to be proffesional, so I can pretty much beat the hell out of anyone in a one on one fight, but trust me, during that first couple of weeks you will be tested and what ever you do, DON''T BACKDOWN, you have to throw down man, it goes back to that wolf or sheep thing, I recomend that you go to a boxing gym as soon as you can and learn how to throw those things man, very important, So keep to yourself and stand strong bro. Also just for the record I met some really good guys in jail, cats that I am still friends with to this day so its not all bad, It actually changed me for the better, It really made me focus on what I wanted out of this life, I came out more motivated than ever to make a name for myself in a positive way,re evaluate your life man, and make the right choises next time, you got 9 months to think about it, good luck

It depends if its federal, state or county facility. There are different rules for each- if its federal it will be no problem to do time get most freedom, county sucks- only have to let you out of cell very minimal, practice spades before you go in, read read read, keep nose clean, get a work detail, do not owe anyone any money, do not gamble, - just a little advice from a 7LB kind of guy

County Jail...??? Not as bad a PRISON Per say, But obviously not a place you want to be either. Its Sooo Boring. I did 11 days in County and it felt like a month. Just read, Draw, Write letters,Workout (pushups-situps) You will probably get out in about 6 monthes or so, County is Always sooo packed. You could get a sherrifs release. Im more than sure you wont do the full 9 monthes as long as you "Behave". You probably will have a community tv, That you will watch most of the time. Gets the local channels. So Court TV will be your new best friend, Along with soaps. Play cards, Best advise I can offer is put money in your commisarry, You can buy a mini radio probably.( New best friend) And snacks. You can make Ramen Noodles With Hot water, Candy bars and shit. Cause the food will be horrible the first week. Then you will get used to it and it will be ok.
