Storm I hope you are gonna be OK, Healing is a long and arduous process.
You are very fortunate to have had such a relationship with your Dad that he is your hero, That will always be with you.
There are many including myself who never had the good fortune to think of their father that way.
May you find your peace with all this and I am glad you gave us all the opportunity to provide any comfort we could.

Sorry to hear of your loss Raging. I hope, in time, you will find the peace you seek. I have buried loved ones (and a friend or two), and it is never easy. That being said, I do often look back with fond memories and hopes of someday reuniting with those who have moved on.

Find someone that you can trust and let your feelings out. Tears are very theraputic when dealing with the loss of a loved one
Don't be afraid to show emotion and just know there is no timetable for handling your grief. Depression is part of the healing process.

Thanks for sharing your stories, they have helped me get through some tough times. Your post on what you have learned in life is priceless. It inspired me to write one of my own to reflect on my life, and I shared it with some people close to me and they loved it (it was somewhat depressing though).

PS, my dad has had 2 heart attacks (stints, then triple buypass), and a brain aneurysm explode in the last 3 years. He is 51 and before this started, he appeared to be healthy, and he has always been a strong/physical man. He looks like he has aged about 10 years this last year, and I know he doesn't have much time left. It really sucks and I dread going through what you are going through. I viewed my dad much like you viewed yours.
So again, thanks for sharing. I don't post much, but I love reading covers, especially the GD forum.
