Put yourself in the cops position. I would have done the same thing, but probably just spoke to her privately after I handcuffed her and then dropped her off.
The cops were not doing anything wrong, so why was she video taping, why could she not just video tape from inside the house? The cop had her by saying "I don't feel safe with you behind me" ...the cop has the right to feel uncompromisable. She was resilient and challenge the cop...mistake.
People don't understand...you can't plead ignorance and think you can get away with it.
Being charged is stupid, but what she did is also stupid. How quickly her tough act turned to tears once she was cuffed.

She has every right to video tape anything she wants & she was standing on her property. Since when did the Gestapo enter the USA? She has every right to be doing what she did & if she was smart, she would hire some good lawyers & sue.

What a stupid bitch. Honestly what has happened to common sense nowadays? She was just looking for trouble. Was the cop in the wrong and a total dick? ABSOLUTELY. But honestly, what good could possibly come out of standing there arguing with a cop who has asked you to move back? NOTHING.

for whatever reason this part of the story seems to be overlooked.
And for those that say her rights were violated - do you really know for sure that she did not break some sort of law by doing what she did (i.e. videotaping and then not listening to the cops)? Are we really sure that there is not some sort of law that she broke (I do not know the answer)? There are all kind of bullshit laws that are minor but still laws (i.e. jay walking). While it is extremely lame to get punished for jay walking it is still a law and still is a punishable offense.

She was antagonizing the cop. The cop nailed her with "I feel unsafe with you standing behind me." At that point she needs to compromise with "ok, I'll video tape inside." My friend is a cop and some are shady, but they risk their lives every day and they study situations b/c at any time something stupid can happen to them. So if the environment is not in their control or not comfortable, they have the right for a reasonable request.
The cop didn't say "stop taping" he said "tape from inside" ...it only takes 1 or 2 other people to walk out to start something stupid. Don't forget something may be happening behind the camera, as in the girl in the doorway who says "I've been standing here watching."
Again, I hate most cops, they are shady and corrupt, but they have rights like all of us.
I would have done the exact same thing, except dropped her off afterwards. The cop controlled the situation...good for him.

Imo, she didnt break any law but what if you were given a jay walking ticket by an officer, are you saying you wouldnt try to get out of it or argue the fact just a bit?

I agree that being a cop can be stressful & they need to control their surroundings. I believe it was a subconscious thing for the cop, like he felt invaded more mentally than he did physically & hence the arrest.
If I was him, I would have put her in the car, driven around the neighborhood while giving her the lecture & then taken her back to her house, no need for anything else.
I really do think she will beat it in court.

That is your opinion (and mine) but do we really know?
of course I would do all I could do to get out of it. It would be bullshit but a punishable offense none the less (like it or not).

"Hell, pretty much the only person that agrees with you is the guy that says he likes to talk about men sticking their dicks in women’s faces to his own daughter."
You have now hit an all-time low. Congrats. Hope this make you feel like a man. I'll never understand people like you & am thankful I'll probably never have to meet you in person.
I have never disrespected you, although we don't always agree on certain topics. I always thought we had good, intelligent debates. This has made me lose any respect for you I did have.Weak man, very weak.
Oh no. The guy that admitted he likes to talk about men sticking their dicks in women’s faces to his own daughter has no respect for me. Whatever will I do?
That’s like a broke homeless man not liking my stock portfolio.

Good for her. If more people stood up for themselves, the cops wouldn't push people around like they think they can do whenever they want. It's time for people in this country to start standing up for themselves. This case will get tossed and she should get a public apology from the police department. She was on private property. Just because the police tell you to do something doesn't mean you have to do it. Who the fuck are they? She held her ground and was completely within her rights to do so.

Pathetic man, really sad for you. You took a simple, silly kids joke & made YOURSELF a pedophile about it. I welcome anyone to disagree. My reputation on here far exceeds yours. Best of luck finding someone else to pick on to make yourself feel important.

You admitted in another thread that you like to joke about men sticking their dicks in women’s faces to your own daughter. Perhaps to someone like you that is normal behavior but to most decent people that’s not a “silly kids joke” that they would tell their daughter.
You brought up the word “pedophile.” Does that mean your daughter is pretty young? Because that would make it even sketchier.

Thanks for posting my thread in yours. Now if anyone really even cares, they can clearly see YOU are the one who immediately came into my thread, BASHED me, & then turned it into a DICK joke for your own amusement & then accuse me of some sick, weird shit you made up in your own head.
A job well done, Thanks!

Filming wasn't the issue... the arresting officer never told her to stop filming... her friend even picks up her camera and films her arrest... and (initially) she wasn't on her own property... see my post #89.
No one has the right to ignore instructions from police... especially not something as simple as "move back".
Ignoring instructions as simple as "calm down" is an arrestable offense in some states.

Anybody can do whatever they want. BUT, our actions have consequences. We don't have to obey police instructions BUT not doing so leaves us open to arrest for failing to follow police instructions.

this bs is unreal. shooter, i agree with you about 5 O.
f*ck the police. fuck um twice.
if theres any piglets in here, then f*ck you all...
how does any american citizen not on probation or parole not have due process rights always?
how does a piece of sh*t stereotyping piglet's badge, that our tax paying dollars provide for the legal side of their salary, give them the right to have their word be the final verdict. f*ck them.
that lady has the right to use her camera phone on public property. i dont see why she'd need to call the local city office to get a permit to film there. po po dont just have those cameras on the car 54's for their protection, but also for the potential person about to be harrassed.
hate is a strong word. but i hate the piglets who abuse the j.o.b. they knew full well what was in store before entering the few wks of training to get a badge and a legal piece of weapon.. i can be down with nwa every now and then...
since most piglets stereotype, and i know sometimes its proven correct for them to do so, that means i can stereotype them right back. most piglets are scandalous, shady wanna be thugs who abuse their power which is to protect and serve the very citizens who contribute payment towards their lives..
all this bs aside, if i ever need ya piglet...forget all thats been mentioned above...
