Why Were You BORN?
Is there PURPOSE for human life? Does life, after all, have real meaning? Here is the awesome truth!
Part 8 of 23. Man Is Physical
In Genesis 2:7, it is plainly stated: "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man (physical matter) became a living soul."
When God caused breath---air---to be breathed through man's nostrils, that man---composed of physical matter from the ground---became a soul. The soul is composed of matter---not of spirit.
That's not what most people believe. But it is what the Bible says! Further it says: "The soul that sinneth, it shall die" (Ezek. 18:4). That is so important it is stated twice, for emphasis: "The soul that sinneth, it shall die" (Ezek. 18:20).

Christianity
Christianity teaches that Jesus is the Son of God, God having become human and the savior of humanity.
Christianity began as a Jewish sect in the mid- 1st century. Originating in the eastern Mediterranean coast of the Middle East (modern Israel and Palestine), it quickly spread to Syria, Mesopotamia, Asia Minor and Egypt, it grew in size and influence over a few decades, and by the 4th century had become the dominant religion within the Roman Empire.
During the Middle Ages, most of the remainder of Europe was Christianized, with Christians also being a sometimes large religious minority in the Middle East, North Africa, Ethiopia and parst of India.
Following the Age of Discovery, through missionary work and colonization, Christianity spread to the Americas, Australasia, sub Saharan Africa and the rest of the world.
In order to follow Jesus' command to serve others, Christians established hospitals, churches, schools, charities, orphanages, homeless shelters, and universities in the areas in which Christians spread Christianity.
As of the early 21st century, Christianity has approx. 2.2 billion adherents. Christianity represents about a quarter to a third of the world's population and is the world's largest religion. Christianity is the state religion of several countries.
Riches won't help on the day of judgment, but right living can save you from death. ---Proverbs 11:4

"There is so much suffering."
This is not the world as God planned it ---the world that He said was "very good" (Gen. 1:31). It is the world in which man has spread his sin.
"According to what I have seen, those who plow iniquity And those who sow trouble harvest it" (Job 4:8).
God has provided an alternative. "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Rom. 6:23).

There you have it, you cannot have it both ways.
If one moral is absolute then morals CAN be absolute.
So you are here gonna sit down and tell me that the example i gave about the little girl is NOT absolutely wrong?
If NOT, then i am afraid me saying that sucked shit to the girl and what happened to the girl is a good thing, good on those guys is no different at all to saying that Andrew Bynum is a better player than Dwight Howard.
Just one persons subjective opinion over the others, neither is absolutely right or wrong.
So according to you, if i posted my comments to according to the little girl, everyone is limited to saying, "well, in my opinion what happened to the little is bad, but if you think what happened to her is good then i have to respect that", thats fine. Afer all, there is no such thing as absolute morals.
Does that potential discussion sound rational and plausable to you? Really?
I urge you to have a really really good think about it.
There you have it, you cannot have it both ways.

Girl raped, attacked and murdered

After she was sexually attacked, the offenders, cut off her nipples and cut out her genitals to which then they urinated on her face. After that they threw her off a cliff and killed her"

To continue this:
Rostos and SJD - if morals are absolute, and the Ten commandments are absolute:
Why is it OK to kill Bin Laden? Its not, who said it was ?
If you had a chance to kill Hitler in 1938, is that a violation of the 10 commandments? Nope, i wouldnt kill anyone.
Is it OK to steal food in order to not die of starvation? Nope, no one has an excuse to steal, anyone get a job. That is a cheap excuse.
How can capitalism exist without coveting? I have no idea what you mean
Is it OK to lie in order to save a bunch of people from dying? Are those people who are dying really guilty of what they did?
Would it be OK to lie to your captors if you were a POW? Explain further.
Is it OK to lie to Mom and Dad if they are forcing you to kill someone? Yes, a murder is worse than a lie. God knows when judging that 2 evils were involved here. So i would say yes.
Is it OK to not honor the Sabbath if you have to work that day? Yes, if you leave another day holy, ie, your day off.
Start with those and tell me how those are NOT subjective. Please. I am begging you to not ignore this as usual and respond.

ClubDirt, US foreign policy has been aggressive, reckless, belligerent, interventionist, and meddling. US foreign policy sows discord among nations, stirs up strife where none existed, intensifies the hatred that many foreigners around the world have for Americans and each other, and creates terrorists faster than we can control them.
Now, I make no apologies for Osama bin Laden. I deplore any acts of terrorism he may have planned, instigated, attempted, inspired, or carried out. I repudiate his religion, his invective, and any evil he may have thought, spoken, or performed. Though, the war on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan is not avenging the 9/11 attacks.
Over 2,000 Pakistani have been slain in CIA drone strikes in the past 5 years, with the vast majority of them innocent civilians. Over 75% of them were killed in the past two years since Obama took office. The identical situation continues in Egypt with innocent families being slain by the CIA. The countries former leader, Mubarak, was engineered into power by the US after the killing of long time CIA asset Anwar Sadat. Gen Mubarak was then allowed to rule Egypt like a modern day pharaoh, crushing legitimate political opposition, Murbarak's rigged elections given the nod by Washington, are every bit as agregious as Tunisia's, which the US hailed as a poster-boy for moderation, stability and democracy until it went up in flames. Moderate Arab governments which focus on implementing sustainable economic and human rights policies which benefit the most of their people possible, instead of just the ruling elite, can't replace deposed regimes, when fundamentalist of one type or another are US puppets.
Be it the killing of several innocent civilians in Baghdad by a US helicopter gunship, or the US secretly funding militant ethnic groups in a move for the faliure of diplomatic initiatives. Be it Obama demonstrating his willingness to go to war in Libya without congressional approval and to do so where no imminent threat to the US existed, or AFRICOM, tasked with achieving full-spectrum military dominance over Africa. Be it forcing Eastern European nations into joining NATO for its expansion, or the US armed force chief from the US spearheading NATO for a first strike nuclear option to be used anywhere in the world a threat may rise. Switch the word religious in your quote with American, and that's the international opinion at present. If your feelings are inclined that the majority of Americans would benefit if Christians were to remain silent, granted your wish, would you require not only we return our votes, though, the flag along with our rights, or will you require us to continue to sacrafice our lives where we are asked to serve the flag.

The conversations after i posted the comments would be limited to be,
Rostos, "i dont agree with your thoughts, however, you are not absolutely wrong thinking what happened to that girl is wrong about those thougts and we arent absolutely right about them,".
Thats what the conversation will be limited to and there will be no more room for comment.
But think about, is that commentary rational and plausible based on our consience and knowledge of what is right and wrong?
No F###ing way.....

game, set, match.

I brought up this example to see your response. I got this example from one your leading atheists - Sam Harris. In his book he disagrees with all of you and says such a thing is objectively wrong.
So now you are disagreeing with one of your leading atheists in this field
One of the great merits of Dr. Harris’ recent book The Moral Landscape is his bold affirmation of the objectivity of moral values and duties. He inveighs against what he calls “the over-educated atheistic moral nihilist[s]” and relativists who refuse to condemn as objectively wrong terrible atrocities like the genital mutilation of little girls.[1] He rightly declares, “If only one person in the world held down a terrified, struggling, screaming little girl, cut off her genitals with a septic blade, and sewed her back up, … the only question would be how severely that person should be punished. …”[2] What is not in question is that such a person has done something horribly, objectively, wrong.

WOW, so now you thinking you have more intellect that not only one of YOUR leading debaters, but you think you are smarter that someone who has a PHD in neuroscience on this topic?
