Salty, you're exactly right, James 3:1 says that pastors & teachers will be held to a higher standard.  The "heck, your head of church....." stereotype for that calling is BS.  This country could use the guidance that our forefathers relied on.

They have paved the way to future celebs that will be for some reason need to make a public statement announcing their ejaculatory stimuli preferences


The next big thing will be guys pushing their stimuli preferences in environments where it do not apply at all


Pro wrestling will soon have a character that is into high fashion with pink flames as a theme. He will enter the ring to "It's Raining Men" and his hook will be fire and blowing fire on stage. He will be named "The Flamer"

the argument about players didnt know before so why does that matter now i feel is a bs argument. you are dealing with a sexual acitivty. of the same sex. others have a right to feel uncomfortable around a g a y man. especially in a locker rm. it isnt closed minded. just human nature. 

if a player likes f*cking sheep and sticking gerbals up their anus, do they need to express that? (and wud players b more comfortable with that person then a g ay man?)

or if i only enjoy threesomes with 19 yr old cuban females do i need to explain that publicy to the world? no. its my private life. 

i dont understand why ppl have to "come out" and explain their sexual preference. i dont see how being g ay is a lifestyle. its simply what you find sexually attractive. being human is the lifestyle. what you choose to do as such do so.
im not against what anyone likes or does. but why not simply go about your life as you want, and have that be your coming out. i dont understand why someone has to explain to the world he or she is g ay if their in the public eye. just exceptng who you are and proudly living how you want is cool enough. no need to get on a soapbox...

I'm not sure what the point of him "coming out" is supposed to be.

I mean, 99% of these people calling him "courageous" (which is absurd) have never heard of him.

It seems kind of selfish to me. What he does is his own business, so why not keep it that way.

If anyone thinks he's the only happy athlete in pro sports-you're living under a rock. I seriously doubt most pro athlete's could care less if they had a happy team mate as long as the guy is contributing to & helping the team win a championship. They want the victory ring at the end of the year-bottom line. The sexual orientation of their team mates is something I really doubt they could  care less about.

You are assuming that as a ga y person he will be unable to control himself by seeing another male in the shower?

not at all.

being happy is nothing more then a sexual preference. and he is in an atmosphere with the same species and gender he is attracted too. its not about him controlling urges. that's a dumb statement. and its been the dumb philosophy around this topic for a long time.

its not him, its the fact a g ay man can make another straight man uncomfortable in that atmosphere. for any reason. that's not being close minded at all. that's human nature.
