I usually cash Kentucky Derby once every 3-4 yrs for $1200 -5000 but have been dry on a triactor for the past 2 yrs but have hit exactors to lose about $30 each year .....I am coming so close the last two years....fuck me....the horse who WON this year I had wheeled for 2nd, 3rd, 4th and it won!!

I like betting Hawthorne harness on Sunday night so I am going to handicap the Pick5 only if I see a 5-1 or higher as a KEY 

For sure I will play the last Pick4 which starts around 10 pm tonight and it begins in race 10 ....and tonight the biggest horse fields of 9 / 9 / 10 / 9 horses are running for this ....each ticket is a 50 cent pick

I will post my thoughts in here if I see something for the 1st PICK5 (starts Race #1) or the PICK4 starting  race #10 tonight for Hawthorne

No I didn't get the #7 in my trip. Came up empty.

I hit the Derby exacta with Medina Spirit this year

nice....ya....I got that for $2 but like I said, I had it wheeled for 2nd and third and would have paid nicely at 8-1 if I remember correctly

I have seen every Kentucky Derby since 1970 except for the year that I lived in Spain in 1999.....family raised horses and I just loved the 70's for horse racing

Hawthorne:

Race 1 - like #4 as a longshot (10-1 morning line/ML)....but its bet fave now...its ok though

- #5 looks like a key

-#7 just missed and this driver/trainer combo is deadly.....leaving #9 out as I do not think it can win 4 in a row and lots will key that horse with #5 so maybe I should just in case?

Race 2 - like #1 a lot and #3 is my hunch play along with #4 who can win anytime since he is an aggressive driver down the lane!!

Race 3 -  #3 almost beat #1 and then went to another track for higher stakes....so I like it and #1 but will propose an upset ticket later since there are not a lot of horses in race 2 and 3 so the payout will be shit and not worth pressing onto it and taking a lot of horses.....the premise of my ticket will be the likely post time fave will get beat by a longshot or mid range fave and so the horses I have above are my guesses

Race 4 - Kyle Husted likes to win back to back or three in a row when he has a hot horse so I really like #1 and like #6 since it has the best driver and had to endure post 9 last time....this trainer is fantastic! Don't get caught up in the times for #4 who since the switch to a shitty trainer....it cannot do the same racing fractions

Gonna throw in #7 because its racing in regular weekly rotation and almost won and Casey Leonard is sneaky...

Race 10 - throw a dart....but standouts due to trainer/driver and other things like closing time

Race 12 - 1358 .....many will KEY #8 ....#1 is my longshot

Race 13 - 2 looks like a KEY since its been on the outside each race.....like 358 as a maybe

BEST KEY out of all the races in my opinion is:  #2 in Race 11...... equally like #5 and 8 in Race 12

Monday Pick5 .....starting Race 1 ....gonna look for an upset play because the race size fields are slightly smaller than most and therefore payouts to faves can be skewed to the light side even with one upset

Weather Monday:

warm....fast track ....winds from NW about 8 - 14 mph gusts....this favours horses who wish to battle for lead or get position so I suggest taking position horses 

-first over is not ideal but its do-able to win still with winds not too punishing....2nd /third over would be better

My strategy when I see this is to look for a DOUBLE and key that but play for $1 or more on my Pick5

Then play a PICK5  for 20 cents > a bunch with a bunch with a KEY somewhere and then whatever shakes out....

So far I am thinking:

$1 PICK5  >  2 / 4 / 2456 / 158 / 5678 = $48

20 cent > 1267 / 145678 / 2 MEMO ...Luc Roy almost won a FreeforAll on Memo and now a week off is good for a trotter when they race every week and then get a driver change....the heat can drain a horse in the summer  / 15 / 5678  = $38.40

20 cent > 267 / 14 / ALL / 12578 / 68 = $72

Pick one of those and enjoy....I might play the middle one and the $1 as a 40 or 60 cent play

 Ok....good luck....I did end up doing something similar to what I said but also did an upset ticket keying #2 in the first race

GOT ALL in the last race for a 60 center ....decided to extend 

#2 was an easy pick now it gets tougher.  I really want to limit my bets tonight, got my ass handed to me yesterday, munnyfor ro really screwed me.  I never saw the #1 hitting the plate yesterday.

I also put in Avoman yesterday and wheeled it up and down in an exacta.  The trainer combo looked good but alas it didn't show up.

Good news was I recouped those losses and more today with soccer

I think Spartan General is the only good horse Christoforu has.  Hpibet shows he has a 6% hit rate I remember years ago he was a top driver at mohawk.  I usually throw his rides out the door but that spartan is an exception
