Matchups and Stats Page Enhancements *Now Live*

Our Matchup & Stats pages enhancements are now live! We hope you had the chance to check out our NHL Matchup pages over the last several weeks to get a sneak peek of these enhancements in advance of today’s update.

To help our users get accustomed to these updates, we’ll be hosting a live Q&A forum session in this thread on Saturday, December 7th, from 1pm - 4pm EST to answer any questions you may have.

Loving the new look and feel on my iPhone.  Core matchup data that I use is still front and center.  Much cleaner and it seems to be loading faster!!!

I'm also sorry but I think its particularly horrible for college basketball and i hope you go back to the old. it was so much faster and simpler before they is so much crap and clutter it takes forever to find the info you want. You got rid of the links to the different conferences in the standings page so you have to scroll through all of them to find the one you want instead of just clicking the one you want on the top. So annoying. Also when you go to a teams page under Team Stats it gives you the list of every team in ncaab to scroll through before you get the rest of the info at the bottom. The changes make it much slower to handicap a matchup this way. 

Also when you go to player stats on a teams page they are not sorted in order of ppg like it used too

First, I love your site and all the valuable data you supply.

But, using your site mainly from my desktop and only for NFL, I am sad to say that the new update is a major setback.

I really loved the "Stats Analysis", especially how the defense was matched with the offence of the opposing team. In the new "Normal View" it is now pretty hard to get the same overview as before.

And where has the "vs league rating" gone ??? !!!  - that was the most valuable thing in the "Stats Analysis".

And using the new "VS View" it seems to be much harder to get a good overview compared to the good old table.

Do you maintain the old site somewhere? - so guys like me can use that one?

Slows down college basketball a lot in getting to info...having to click back and forth between head to head and last ten for each team is not good. Before All I had to do was scroll on the same page.....

Also NO indication whatsoever on whether a game was played on a NEUTRAL court  or campus site!!

This is major in college basketball and no issue in the pros whatsoever. But all games are listed as home/away. November and March esp. are important.

The ONLY enhancement I see that is positive is the ATS margin column, that is appreciated.

The pages are also cluttered with too much space and not focused on relevant data.

The trend box should be at the bottom. 

On the team pages, remaining schedule should NOT be at the top. Put games played first. The team season page was MUCH better and easier to

read. I have to work harder to access data when so much is scattered all over the place. 

Another point that makes NO sense with college basketball:

Team last 10 :

You've got columns with home and away FG shooting... then I have to look at whether the team was home or away

then go look over at the column to see WHICH column pertains to the team!!!!!

This is ridiculous. Before you had one coulmn for the team and another for the opponent. Does this not makew more sense??

also the issue of neutral court. For ex.

You've got Penn playing at Home on Thurs, at ARIZONA on Friday and back home on Sunday. They were ALL neutral court games.

ANOTHER problem: the font is much harder to read, harder on the eyes.

The print is lighter and farther apart, when before it was darker and closer together!!!   This applies the the whole page.

ALL the font is smaller and farther apart. This is NOT better.

The new layout is garbage. Switch back to the original or at LEAST have an option/link to switch back to the original. Also, you should have that option in the user settings, the type of format that the user prefers...

this is horrible layout,its like covers wants us to lose our money ,go back to the old site because soon nobody will use this anymore.

Just look at the 1st Match, Penn Vs, Villanova.  For example, look at HFG & AFG data — it's in every single case WRONG !!

Horrible update.  

Does Covers managemnet have the guts to back to what was at least working...?

I don't like the new look.  Too hard to navigate.    Is there a way to give you the option of having the old one?

To be quite honest, this new look is horrible.

I appreciated the quick stats on the side of the "game previews" showcasing each teams home and away records as well as averages. 

So the other link the e-mail sent us to that said we were going to talk about the new match-ups menu on the 7th of Nov.was what,a way of keeping us unaware of the change until it was in,to me that was just BS,if you were just going to put in the changes why send us the e-mails and have us do a chat and make up how it was going to go,very strange way to do this change and the NBA one I looked at does not look easier to use,but I am not sure if I can really give it a good try as it seemed like you were giving us an option when you never were.

On my other comment Dec.7th is what it should read.

Don't like this update as well, I prefer the flat layout now I have to click a bunch of tabs to get to where I want which is a time waster. Plus its missing a lot of detailed stats on tewam homepages for the nfl. If this was supposed to make it more mobile friendly, theres an option in mobile to make it desktop view which is still better than any mobile version

Where is the past results and remaining games for all the other sports?

Only NHL have those links, but all other sports don't have them

No more comment "chat" on the games?   I'm with everyone else...you should leave the site alone, all these "improvements" suck big time.

Hello All,

I have been a user of this site for the past 5 years. I was absolutely FLOORED to say the least. When i hopped on today and found my beloved site just rearranged everything I know and loved about utilizing this website.  Please by any means have an option to revert back to the prior version. I literally had to create an account just to voice my displeasure.

There is an old saying it would help to reiterate it once more. If it is not broke. Do NOT attempt to fix it. 

I understand the android and iPhone versions of the site needed an update but push it for strictly mobile. This RUINS the desktop PC experience. Rather then handicap now i'm going to be forced to use this new layout that is actually stripping stats away and finding it much harder to navigate just looking now im going to have to flip back and forth between pages for H2H and for the love of god please fix the fonts. 

Hi Covers Gods! To be very honest 'no sir I don't like it'  One of the MAIN reasons I come to this site is for the fluent and easy ways to look up information especially with the nfl! This is what made you guys different from ALL the other guys in the web! It seems like your forcing the mobile version or something just like it down our throats!I will guarantee you that if this is what you want to give us for our sporting needs, I will be closing my account and moving on over to the spread dot com or something like them. I have been here almost since you guys started, so why would you fix something that ISN'T BROKEN!? And I am pretty sure that I won't be the only one... Also you can't be that stupid not to look when someone visits here, you can see how many people/customers change from the mobile version over to the desktop version! Just count the clicks! It's pretty obvious then what exactly you should be doing!
