Matchups and Stats Page Enhancements *Now Live*

Covers you better change this back or your going to lose everyone starting with me. Can anyone tell me another site I can start using because this is horrible. Pleas help. 

Oh my god, it's not only a bad way of presenting the data, some of the data is also wrong !!

...take for instance NFL, DEN at HOU (https://www.covers.com/sport/football/nfl/matchup/183008). Select "Last 3 H/A" in "Stats Analysis" and select the Normal View (...and by the way, naturally you would chose that view, because the "VS View" does not work 80 % of the time, both on mobile and Desktop I can see). The numbers then show that Houston defense have allowed 31.7 points avg over the last 3 home games, but if you add the numbers yourself, it is only 21 points avg !!!

It's at least partially broken.  I went to a look at various NFL QB stats by linking to the particular QB profile through game boxscores (through the past results section).  According to the player profile in the new format, and although the season total TD/ INT in the top RH corner looks ok, if you look at the list of past games the number of interceptions is zero for each one. I've only been browsing the new format for 5 minutes but, if that statistic is clearly broken, how can I be confident that other stats are correct?

Where did the NFL team ranking for Off / Def go ( 1-32 ) total, passing, rushing, etc.

Before I could see this info but not on the new site?????????????

I can't believe you would take a sleek and easy format and totally ruin it so that it now takes three times longer to find anything.  You did it with hockey and I was hoping you wouldn't do it with other sports, but unfortunately you did.  The trends page is cluttered with info that doesn't even pertain to the current matchup.  I'm now scrambling to find other sites that hopefully will be much better.   I wish at least you had an option to go back to the old format.  

change it back ASAP please.

Hi everyone – Thank you for all the great feedback. We appreciate hearing from long-time and new Covers users alike and we appreciate all the valuable comments from our forum, social media, and other communication channels. A few things we wanted to pass along:

1. We’re actively compiling a list of any bugs that you’ve told us about, so we ask for your patience as we make fixes. Bug fixes we’re currently working on:

- Page loading issues

- Trends - removing irrelevant trends

- Team Page - filtering standings by conference so not so many teams listed

- Line History - graph fixes + addition of full line history

- Statistic pages - adding Rank # back in

- Weather - incorrect weather fixed

2. We’re also compiling a list of your suggestions for additional updates to our Matchups & Stats pages. Items we’re currently working on:

General

- Font increase

- Locking First Column for mobile tablets

- Adding font color indicators for stats differentials

Team Pages

- Past Results easier to view

- Separating the Schedule and Past Results Tabs

- Adding Team Stats and Ranks Back In

- First name for college players for Team Page Player Stats

Matchup Pages

- Adding Last 10 table column for W-L

- Changes to FG Label on the Basketball Last 10 table

- Adding neutral site (N) game indicators

Injuries

- Addition of suspended / transferred players

3. We ask that when you provide us your feedback, to please add as much detail as possible with any issues you encounter in order for us to effectively investigate. Examples of what to include:

- Device, i.e. phone, tablet or desktop computer (We don't need make or model)

- Page you were on when you experienced the issue, i.e. Matchup, Scoreboard, Team, Statistics, Player (URL would be best)

- Brick, tab or section you’re are referring to i.e. “Look Back”, “Last 10”

- The content you were looking for or what action you were trying to do

Absolutely horrible. Like one said earlier 'If I aint broke don't fix it'. 

WHERE IS THE OFF VS DEF PAGE? WHERE ARE THE NCAA COLLEGE STARTING LINEUPS? THEY

SAY CHANGE IS GOOD,BUT THIS IS REALLLLL BADDDDDDD!

YOU GOT TO HAVE THE SAME INFO THAT YOU HAD ON THE OLD ONE,YOU THINK??

Not a fan of this new layout. The old one was perfectly fine. The only adage is applicable here, "If It ain't broke, don't fix it." Thanks 

I cannot stand the new changes. For one, the NHL matchup page link is still broken. It tells me an error has occurred and links me back to the main covers webpage. Until today, this was the case for all of the matchup pages, but NFL/NCAAF started to work this morning. So, I’m hoping that NHL will start working soon!

The bigger problem is the new pop-up ads on my phone. Since this has update has started I have had the worst problem with random pop-up ads every minute or two when I try to access covers websites. They do not let me “back out” of them and I have to completely close my browser and start all over with what I was doing. It is completely annoying. I have closed out my browsers/data/etc. and it still keeps occurring eventually, too. It seriously makes me not even want to come back to the site because it is such a hassle to deal with. 

No able to comment on the game is horrible!!!! 

Hey I found a pretty good site for scores and matchups!!  Almost as good as the OLD!!! Covers site!! It's newsday. Sports directinc. Com  I only have been checking out the ncaa basketball matchups for now!! Hope the other sports are this good ANYTHING beats the new covers updates!!! 

Every time you update this site I disapprove, then work my way through it and discover it was a good upgrade after all. I’m going to try to keep the same approach here. I cannot find results for the last 10 games against the upcoming opponent anywhere. Maybe I’m overlooking it, but maybe not. If it’s been deleted, it’s a poor decision.

Happy to hear that this issues will be fixed because as posts have indicated, I also do not like these changes at all.  But I believe that at the very least we would all prefer if you guys would go back to the way it was while your team is working out all the issues..  I am seeing quite a few issues that aren’t even mentioned in this post.  I will try and join this December 7 to speak with you about these items.  Thank you

Of course you are going to have people who like it and people who don't like it.  If possible, I'd try to leave a link to the old information for those who like that and have the new way for the people who like the change.  

The one thing that stood out to me was in the trends section, a lot of the trends did not pertain to that particular matchup for that day.  Example:  Phoenix Suns are a 4 point underdog but in the trends section I think it had something like they are 6-1 as a road favorite of 13 or more.  If you could highlight the trends that pertain to the game or somehow remove the ones that are not relevant to that game, then I think you have a good product.
