nogueira is a top notch heavyweight in the world, fedor couldnt beat him because nog is a machine...and i dont want to hear about how good mir is, nog lost that fight because he didnt fight his fight, plain and simple, but lets not get off topic.
let me post this question to everyone...is AA not considering a boxing career because his stand up is just average? has anybody ever seen how fast his hands look in training? it makes me laugh to see people post fedor has better stand up, oh my how crazy you people are. fedor is extremely well rounded, but he likes to get on top of guys and beat on them or submit them.
i guaranteed you the first chance he gets, within the first 2 minutes of the fight if it lasts that long he shoots for a takedown, and ill make that bet against anybody. he knows how good AA's stand up is, he doesnt wanna fuck with that.
AA doesnt have a punchers chance here, he has a good chance, as previously stated fedor swings wide punches, just watch the sylvia fight to see that, if you connect you connect hard, its his punching style and all the best to him with that, but freddie roach was responsible for de la hoya getting tooled by pacquiao. does nobody think AA is going to be ready to bang a little bit here? the guy is getting ready for a fucking boxing career, he is going to be ready to showcase his skills.
and as for the guy who said he's looked like shit lately?? ben rothwell is one tough sob, arlovski gave him everything he fucking could take before finally in the 3rd round he dropped him. AA's stand up looked top notch.
Arlovski's problem was after he got knocked out by sylvia he was scared to get hit, you could see this in the werdum fight. But after a couple knock out wins he looks better than ever.
AA at anything over +250 is a steal in my opinion, anyone who lays any money on any fighter at anything over -250 is a moron, no value, mma is all about value. Mir, Evans, Brown like previously stated, all big dogs, not to mention belcher on the weekend.
im not here saying fedor has no chance on arlovski wins, fedor is obviously the favoured for a reason, just everyone be a little more realistic and recognize that the value here is on arlovski with his great stand up. and if we get another repeat of tim sylvia then i say bring fedor right back up to the top of the p4p list because after a solid performance he might deserve it.
and please no replies stating you dont know shit and blah blah blah cause i know my mma, im not a fucking band wagon jumper like every other jackass out there, i have been watching ufc since the the 90s, i grew up watching Royce Gracie tool shamrock in ufc 1, i saw severn gnp his way to tournament championships, i saw it all.
good luck to everyone, and if you must bet on fedor, at least parlay it with another -250 to -350 bet, it will pay almost 1 to 1.
